We loved our stay. Hotel was great. Restaurant was overpriced.

Our king bed room was large, nicely decorated with a small balcony and a view of the Harbour. Staff were friendly, polite and always ready to help if needed. Breakfast was fabulous with large amounts of delicious food. The wait staff were excellent. We found the bar very busy the one time we went there and had to wait quite a while to be served a drink… too many guests, not enough servers! Also, one of the elevators did not work, which made for some long wait times.. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will certainly return the next time we visit Nanamio.

great location, small balconies and no pool/hot tub on site. Overall, a good place to stay, but you'd expect more out of an oceanfront property. Somewhat disappointed by my own choice.

Beautiful room, very cozy!

Travelled with our dog they even got a welcome package … the room overlooking the harbour breathtaking went to a show at the port theatre great location especially walking the dog and eating out at pet friendly patios 👍

The whole place was great. The restaurant was wonderful with great staff.

Great location. Staff are great. We went for breakfast in the hotel and have the charge for breakfast on both the hotel bill and on my credit card so I have to get that sorted out.

Great visit and clean rooms

We booked this hotel for convenience and were not made aware that the parking situation involves parking in public parking a block away, emptying your entire vehicle to avoid break-ins, and then when returning to the hotel, the elevator reeked of human urine. We took a slight wrong turn trying to get back to the hotel and ended up walking into an area where 20+ drug users were laying all over the ground and it felt very unsafe. When we complained the hotel simply sent back smiley face texts saying "Well, that's downtown for you". We have no idea why this is a 5 star hotel. There are few amenities, the room was average, and the staff in no way went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were passive aggressive and unhelpful. We tried to speak to management to address the situation and they refused to do anything for us. Extremely disappointing - we will never be back.

My wife and I like the location. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

Nice, clean and friendly hotel

The bathroom door is clear and so whenever you turned on the light it lit the whole room up and woke everyone up! The parking lot is confusing and if you take the wrong one I ended up in a gross elevator with people doing drugs! The hotel is in a great location and walking distance tk everything!

Best place to stay for exploring downtown Nanaimo. Very close to places you wanna try eating at. Also walking distance to old city quarter, harbourfront, and drop-off & pickup point if you’re taking the hullo. Room is very nice, well-serviced, and staff are very kind. Will definitely come back again.

Our room was clean and the staff very friendly.

Stayed on the top floor (1507). The view was amazing and the room was spacious and clean. Great location across from the harbour. Lots of food and cafes nearby. Across the street from the path along the waterfront.
