Claimed to have parking on site, we arrive - only have like 2 parking spots and they are reserved. First room they give us does not have AC. Terrible neighborhood - felt very unsafe As we were checking out, the lobby let in a man into the lobby, and he attempted to steal my purse from my 87 year old father. Concierge and staff watched as this happened IN THE LOBBY!!! And didn't do anything. Didn't offer to help my father, didn't call the police, just watched. Awful service - made us never want to even go to Paris again

Originally booked because it offered laundry services, however when I asked they refer to that as dry cleaning services they dont actually have washer and dryer services.

NO AC, Misleading Photos, Mismatched Rooms — A Frustrating Experience I booked a “Superior Room” based on the modern, polished photos of renovated rooms shown online. What I got on arrival was something entirely different: an older, outdated room with no air conditioning, worn furnishings, and a musty smell. When I raised concerns, I was told this was a “different type of superior room” — which made no sense based on what was advertised. At one point, I was even told there’s only one room like the one in the pictures… and that it was currently under renovation. Confused? So was I. Why renovate a room that’s supposedly already been renovated? After a lengthy discussion — and with other guests overhearing the conversation — I was finally moved to the type of room I had originally booked. But that only happened after significant back-and-forth that felt more like haggling in a market than checking into a hotel. This experience was incredibly disappointing, especially after a long day of travel. It felt misleading, avoidable, and not in the spirit of good hospitality. Is it too much to ask to get the product as advertised that I paid for in good faith, without hassle? I just wanted what I paid for. I don’t get the Zero-Sum mentality here. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you’re prepared to haggle your way into the room you thought you booked.

My second stay at Hotel Mondial. Please note. The hotel is currently being renovated (May 2025). Therefore there is building work noise during the day, including Saturday. Unfortunately I was not assigned a newly renovated room so I am unable to comment on the new rooms. My room was fine, although very tired. Fortunately I booked early and secured a good price. The bed was extremely comfortable, less so the pillows. But I am a very fussy pillow user! The bathroom was small and the toilet was temperamental. There is a kettle, which was welcome, with top up drinks in the foyer, and bottles of water in the fridge. The breakfast is buffet style and plenty of simple choices to fill you up. The biggest negative for me was that the room was at the front of the hotel and therefore was very noisy with nighttime revellers passing by until the early hours. The previous room was at the back of the hotel and extremely quiet. The local area is buzzing and busy. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Metro stations close by and in a great area for exploring. I would stay again but I would insist on a room away from the main entrance.

Cite Bergère is a great location, just off the buzzing boulevards. Mondial is one of a few hotels in this enclosure, well maintained, renovated rooms, 24h reception and decent breakfast for €8. Ideal to spend a night, probably good to stay for a few days as well

My room was in terrible condition. Well worn out. It was my last 2 nights in Paris and I didn't want to go and complain to the reception. I hope it was the only such room in the hotel. But the breakfasts at the hotel were good - that's the only good thing.
