An Okay Stay with a Few Perks
Our time at the Blackwood Hotel was solidly… fine. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. The pillows, however, were so overstuffed they felt more like decorative ottomans than something you’d actually want under your head—sleep took some negotiating. Temperature control was also a bit tricky, so bring your patience along with your pajamas.
On the upside, parking was easy, the restaurant was decent, and we really appreciated that the in-room fridge had both a fridge and a freezer section. If you travel with medication that needs to stay cold—or just like your gel packs frosty—that’s a thoughtful touch you don’t always find.
All in all, nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain too loudly about either. A functional choice for a short stay, with a few conveniences that make life on the road a little smoother.
