The hotel was great! The rooms were well kept even though it’s an older hotel. Very historic cozy feeling. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I feel like it was a great location to Union square and a short walk to Ferry building. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel over the well known mainstream hotels nearby.

Great staff and accomodations!

The hotel is situated in a central location (downtown of San Francisco) with easy access to the public transit system. The hotel looks very clean, the rooms are tidy and the interior doesn't look old at all. The personnel in the reception is charming and very helpful when we asked for directions and quick solvers when we had an issue with the smoke detector in the middle of the night. Being a central area has is drawbacks as not having the feeling of being in a safe area, but that's also true for all the hotels in the area. The roomnwe stayed (facing the exterior) was extremely noisy, we could hear the noise from the subway as well as the noisy coming from other heavy vehicles every night (I didn't check because itnwas very late at night, but it sounded something like garbage collection trucks)

The room smelled bad, I think there is something wrong with their pipes. Our room was also filthy and the floor hadn’t been cleaned. They also never brought us towels, we had to go track someone down. The smell and cleanliness were big downsides.

Top to bottom hard to beat!

I enjoyed my stay. The bathrooms are somewhat small and so there is limited counterspace.

Clean and updated. Request an interior room as exterior rooms get a ton of street noise.

Super amazing! Excellent hotel that offers complimentary echo friendly waters with refilling stations, a welcome happy hour and the best in-room coffee!!

Only downside was no food available on premises; associated restaurant not open for the duration of our stay 🤔

Room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the climate control worked well. Only issue was the outside of the windows were a bit dirty.

Great location, qwirky but stylish interior. Coffee in reception in the morning and wine/martinis in the evening were a nice touch. Water filling and ice machines also useful. We had no hot water on arrival and first evening but this was repaired by the following morning but a free bottle of wine softened the blow!

Fabulous Hotel, Comfortable beds, really clean and great staff service.

Jeffrey and everyone in the building from workers to guests were friendly. Jighly reccomend.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We ran hard everyday and coming back to our room was exactly what we needed! We traveled with two kids ages 12 & 10.

The hotel location was great, room was clean, bed is comfortable, and staff friendly & prompt. The cons: They charge an additional Urban Amenity Fee of $35+ tax at check-in and you can hear the noise from the street.
