The Barrington is a very tired and dated hotel. The furnishings are from the 90s and our AC didn't even work. We were unable to even open a window. The plus is that it's close to everything downtown Halifax has to offer and it's joined to the covered pedway system.

Old hotel, tv was broke, wasn’t told we had to pay for parking. Good location for access to the waterfront.

Clean and comfortable

It was an excellent experience receptionist was good. Overall the experience was excellent.I woul recommended to others.As your hotel was recommended to me.

The room was average size . Bed was comfy but pillows not so much . Problem with the bathroom sink and we had to change room the next day . The hotel staff had problems to find another room for us . Other then saying sorry we didn’t get compensation for inconvenience and waste of our time to accommodate us. Other then that the other room was good.

Staff was very friendly, and there is a lot of things to do near the property

The hotel is lovely and the rooms very comfortable, clean and good amenities. Would recommend it! Great location too!

There was an organics bin which was a positive and the location was great. The downside was that the organics bin as well as other parts of the room were not clean as I found food still in the bin upon arrival and bottle caps under the nightstand and bed. We had to switch our room keys twice over a 3 night stay as they continuously stopped working. It was budget friendly and dated which is fine as it generally served the same purpose.

I took my wife for a night out to s concert at Scotiabank center, and stayed at the Barrington Hotel so we didn't have to make the hour and a half drive home so late. The room was very spacious and quiet, except for the occasional loud car stereo from the street below. Boy it was Friday night, after all, and it soon stopped. The biggest complaint I could find was parking. Instructions that staff provided to get to the parkade weren't very clear, and once I finally did manage to find my way to the Scotia Square parkade, figuring out where you are supposed to park and how to find your way backwalking back to the hotel were also a challenge. Other than that, it's proximity to the concert and plenty of good restaurants make it a great place to stay. We'll be back.
