Checked in late having travelled most of the day to be told breakfast finishes at 1030. Arrived at breakfast at 1020 to be seated in the ‘walkway’ due to the main restaurant being set up for lunch (1230) and a lot of the food not being replenished! Even after telling the reception staff of this and our first impressions being awful no apology received and a shrug of the shoulders! Room was tired and bed for daughter which should have been a double was a single. The spa area was closed and although we were advised a couple of days before hand it staggered me that they would do this over a busy Easter period. This isn’t and wasn’t a 5 star experience which was in complete contrast to the hotel we stayed in zermatt. Celebrating my wife’s 50th which although I mentioned upon booking was never recognized throughout our stay.

Outstanding hotel with a family friendly environment. I'd definitely come back on my next visit to UK. Recommended to everyone, specially for those who had little ones.

Amazing place to stay. Excellent food and a fantastic staff that made sure our stay was comfortable.

The roof was stuffy and the "Air conditioner" wasn't cooling at all. Loud noises until the wee hours of the night from tennis courts. The staff were ok, but the clientele were self important and snoody. The hotel is on the outskirts of the palace so the pictures do not replicate anything you see.

Got a food poisoning from the restaurant, probably from meat. A hint of sewage smell in the common areas. Very overprized hotel. Rooms could need upgrade. Pleasant staff, but this hotel is in my opinion not worth the prize.

The hotel is very nice but the rooms are very old and a lot of broken/scratch furniture … holes in the bathroom wall.. needs restoration. The staff is amazing

This property has two hotels - a 5 star which is in the main historic building and a 4 star which is next door and more of a conference look - ensure you are booking the one you are intended to stay in. It is misleading when you book through Expedia. Good location if you are visiting the Palace of Versailles. You can walk right to the property from the garden gates.

We have been blessed to stay at many luxury properties around the world and we feel the Waldorf Versailles is right up there with the best! We are so happy we chose to stay in Versailles as opposed to Paris on our first trip to France. Nestled in the beautiful French countryside, the quaint and quiet beauty of this location is mesmerizing. The Waldorf Astoria is located on the edge of the Versailles palace and only a short trip to Paris. The staff at Waldorf is exceptional. Catering to Amy request quickly and with a smile! The old world charm and elegance of the hotel speaks for itself. The cost of the rooms per night are far more palatable than the 5 star hotels in Paris.
