Loved the pool at the beach house, the poolside drinks and food were perfect. I thought Harborside was more affordable but lots of hidden fees in there when I checked in, I’m still confused about my bill… taxes, amenities, additional taxes on drinks. The rooms are adorable but what the property needs is to be updated. The beach club is much nicer and costs more but I’d stay there instead if I ever stay here again. But beware both places have so many additional fees that your bill may be twice what you thought it was! My kids had a blast though. The shuttle into town was a nice touch. And because we stayed during the week the pool was not crowded. The staff was top notch. Best view of the city.

We liked our room but had a rough experience. The view was nice, beds were comfortable and air conditioning was lovely. Downside of the room was the light water pressure and sink didn’t fully drain. We would’ve loved our stay overall had it not been for the TWO fights we witnessed on the property and disappointing response from staff. We booked thinking it was family friendly when in fact the guests were extremely rowdy and the staff didn’t care or do anything. A woman was punched four times in the pool. Another couple was attacked by a man at dinner on the property. The staff were aloof and didn’t remove the violent guests from the property. Kids were crying in the pool and cops had to come both times. Would consider this if traveling with young children.

The light was out in our room, asked for a new one and didn’t get it replaced. No room service since Covid. Would love an option for late night snacks. The spa was amazing. General customer service was just alright. Location was great! Loved the sunsets from the beach. Loved the balcony.

We did enjoy our stay. The beds and pillows were comfy and the rooms were clean and the maids refreshed the rooms each day with plenty of towels and emptying trash. The mini fridge in one of our rooms froze everything in it and it was on a low temperature. Fridge was way too small, not enough breakfast choices on site. The Fish House was slow and over priced. The views & the Bridge bar was the best thing about the resort. Chip was the best bartender! There really needs to be an adult only pool and bar. Not everyone wants to be at a kiddy pool. The ladies at check in aren’t the best at letting the guests know about the events ( party at the point) going on & how to be a part of it all. And at check out we learn of hidden fees $40+ each night of our stay.

Expedia didnt have a choice of oceanview / parking view. When arrived , the reserved room pointed to the parking lot. Not a pleasant view. The unexpected "upgrade" to ocean view end up being a bit over 100dls. Maybe something to consider disclosing during the reservation process.

The bed was way too soft. Had to sleep on the sofa. Was disappointed that they only offered a breakfast at the Fish House, which was a long walk to the end of the other property. Wish I would have picked the other property (The Beach Club) for a little more money. You kind of feel like 2nd class citizens at the Harborside.

I want to live here! Watching the boats on the marina was my favorite part but the facilities were gorgeous. Great way to get in and out of downtown Charleston. Patriots Point being next door was cool. I really love this hotel. Definitely returning! Considering annual trips for the rest of my life! So, so pleased with everything. Highly recommend!

Staff was the best thing about the property. Pools were nice yet no one picked up trash and alcoholic beverages near pool. Rooms need huge updates, felt like all the damages just got a fresh coat of paint, but never fixed. Cracks in ceiling, mildew and dust on ac vents, bathroom tiles with mildew covered up with new silicone, shower appliances were difficult to turn on. Elevators had exposed subfloor almost like a renovation was started but never finished.

The room at Harborside was very “dated”. Bathroom and bedroom definitely needs updating.

We’ve been coming here for years, so I’m sad to see things are on a downward trend. The clientele had dropped dramatically! I don’t know if it was wedding/birthday guests or the marina crowd, but it felt more like Myrtle Beach than Charleston/Mt. Pleasant. Our room was showing water and tear. Hotel guests should have guaranteed parking, close to the entrances. We had to stay out late after dinner on Friday because of the Party at the Point attendees-there was no parking within 1/4 of a mile of the property.
