Totally new hotel. Fantastic!!!

We were generally satisfied with our stay at Scandic Lahti City. The hotel has recently undergone a major renovation and looks clean, modern, and fresh throughout, which made a very good first impression. However, the sauna facilities could be much more inviting. At the moment, the sauna area feels more like entering a large sports hall locker room than a relaxing hotel spa. It is also completely separated from the hotel, and you have to access it partly through the shopping centre section — not directly through stores, but via cold, echoing corridors, which takes away from the atmosphere. There were no typical relaxation areas or cosy lounge spaces besides the main hotel lobby, which made the wellness experience feel incomplete. On the positive side, breakfast was absolutely on par with the Scandic chain’s usual quality — a good variety, tasty options, and everything well organised. The breakfast staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating, which added a very pleasant touch to the morning. Parking is convenient in the warm underground garage for €18 per day. It’s also a nice perk that you can walk directly into the department store from the hotel without needing to put on outdoor clothes. Overall, Scandic Lahti City offers a pleasant and freshly renovated environment in a great location, with excellent breakfast service — though the sauna facilities could be made much more comfortable to match the rest of the hotel’s quality.

Great staff. No AC. No air flow. Understaffed.

Check in was quick and friendly despite the late arrival. Room was clean and easy to find. However the hotel has already seen its best days and in a need of major remake. The rooms are kind of standard hotel rooms from -90s, kind of ok, but definitely far from fancy. I would also appreciate better mattress and especially the pillow, which had all sorts of uncomfortable lumps inside (I was too tired to complain about it though). Furthermore on site electric car charger would be superb, as the nearby shopping mall charger is only available during the mall opening hours.

Clean basic hotel, the room was a bit hot and we could not figure out how to turn down the heating. A small fridge, good TV, etc. A good thing the kitchen was open until 9pm. :)

Kylppärin suihkusta lensi vettä joka suuntaan. Kylpyhuoneen pöytä lainehti suihkun jälkeen vettä. Taso on Scandicilla valitettavasti romahtanut isosti. Tuohon hintaan ja neljällä tähdellä olisi hyvä tehdö joku remontti ainakin huoneisiin? Muuten ihan ok paikka. Keskeinen sijainti.

2 night stay. Ok hotel. A bit frantic at breakfast because staff weren’t clearing tables with any sense of speed so queues fir tables formed needlessly. Room cleaning was a bit haphazard. Superb shower. Good breakfast - once you get a table! Would go back.

Hotel is good, but not Scandic standards. There were no temperature control in the room. Room was clean enough.

Very clean and quiet place in the city center of lahti.

Nice hotel and well looked-after. Comfortable room and good service from friendly staff. It's nothing fancy but it's good value for a hotel in this region. Didn't have an iron in the room, which is unusual for a Scandic, but they did have an ironing room downstairs with the saunas. The restaurant was closed on the night I arrived as it was a Sunday, and Lahti itself isn't the most vibrant of places for eating out on a Sunday night! It's a quiet hotel in a quiet town, but it is well-placed in the centre and was very handy for my appointments. Easy to get to from the station too - nothing is far away in Lahti.

Perfect distance to walk to nearby restaurants. My room was very nice but bathroom was small.

The hotel is open 24 hours to any time arrival is a big plus point along with park, but this costs around 10 Euros a day or every 24hours, not bad if in the centre of Helsinki, but a bit expensive for a car park that's mostly empty. However, a strong point is that its on site, and that's the best aspect of this hotel. The room condition is poor with worn floors and leaking showers, however, they do clean try can clean what's there. However, in my room they emptied the bin and left the bag on top of my luggage, so they got a poor rating for this. also, on my 5 days there my room was cleaned once and towels never replaced. The breakfast is below average and the condition of the resturant lower half near the bar is very poor, the carpet has not change in 10 years since I've was once there, if not 10, at least 8 (2009). The resturant area near the reception is better, average, the rest is below par. I would rate the hotel as a 2 star. The Staff are polite and nice, so with Parking - 2 stars

Good location, nice clean hotel, fair breakfast, no air-conditioning so had to leave the curtains open to get air through the window and only had three hours of darkness in July!

No air condition. room was far too hot to the point it was difficult to sleep. Next night reception supplied a fan.

I stayed at the Cumulus to attend the annual Classic Motor Show. The hotel is located downtown and was a convenient place to stay. The large parking garage was secure and very easy to access. The hotel is clean with friendly staff and a large restaurant and lobby bar for easy meetings.

Quiet hotel with solid service and a great breakfast. Rooms are heated by radiator and get a little hot.

Ok hotel in the city center. Quite old but clean. Good breakfast buffet. Easy to park.
