Excellent location. Beautiful room and decorations. Love the smell of the hand wash and shampoo. Great breakfast.

We stayed here leading up to our wedding and it was a 10/10 stay. They gave us complimentary sparkling wine, flowers, and a hand illustrated congratulations card! Hotel feels newly renovated but still has classic countryside boutique flare. Family room was very spacious for us. Wonderful, super friendly staff! Emberwood was an excellent restaurant directly tied into the hotel. Location is very central but things are still quiet which is great. Will surely stay again if we are ever in town. Thank you Alex and Carly for making it memorable!

Great hotel in perfect location, lovely room with nice touches, excellent aircon, terrific bar and friendly staff. Slightly pricey to take your pet but that’s becoming the norm now. Enjoyable stay.

This is a lovely hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were not only attractive, but very comfortable. It has an old world charm, and the breakfast is really good. Don’t miss it! We want to stay again soon.

Great location for walking into the shopping aqrea

Stayed for 3 nights, had 2 rooms both were excellent, very comfortable beds, slept very well, air conditioning great, bathrooms clean and walls between rooms not paper thin. Breakfast was lovely, very flexible, could choose that morning whether you wanted it or not. Staff excellent, always there when needed but not intrusive and hotel parking was a plus, all in all, excellent, would highly recommend.

Don't stay in room 35 or other rooms near to where there was a recent leak and it smells of damp! Spoke to receptionist about the smell, who was initially quite elusive about the smell and said there was nothing reported. As I insisted there was a smell she then confessed that there had been a leak in the area and maybe that was it, would get maintenance to look at it. So we slept in a room smelling of damp! Rest of the hotel looked good, bar was nice, very convenient but obviously soured by not helpful staff not offering to move us as the hotel was busy. The bedroom decor was good but the carpets are really tired, bathroom was clean and OK.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Francis Hotel. It was five years since we last stayed there and the difference made by their extensive renovations is amazing! Beautiful rooms, even the small ‘cosy’ rooms, with thoughtful and artistic decoration and amenities. We stayed in the really hot weather and the great AC was very welcome! It’s in a fantastic location and we will definitely return.

Properly comfortable stylish stay. Room enjoyable to be in: hurrah. A good size, upbeat decoration - excellent bathroom products to enjoy. The cocktail bar knows what it is doing, restaurant good and not overpriced. Terrific location.

Absolutely the best hotel in Bath!! I would stay there every single time. So impressed the location, staff, restaurant and spa!!

Alex, who oversaw the lobby when we visited, was a model of gracious and effective hospitality. I’ve never met a hotel employee better at the job of anticipating questions, lending a hand with baggage, and supplying infirmation than Alex. He is a real credit to The Francis.

Everything was lovely, but the shower was a cramped for anyone over 6ft. Thank you for a lovely stay and see younext time

When you visit Bath you must stay at the Francis Hotel which is beautifully appointed, centrally located and staffed by incredible professionals. The food is delicious and the quality outstanding. The staff is welcoming, helpful and goes the extra mile. The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and luxurious. Cannot say enough good things about the Francis Hotel.
