Stayed for one night in one of the courtyard rooms. It was clean but a bit dated. The lobby was nice. It was frustrating that non-electric cars were parked at the EV chargers so I wasn't able to charge my car overnight. It would be nice if the hotel staff remind customers at check in to use the car park opposite which had plenty of space rather than parking on the allocated EV charger bays if their car is not charging or is not an EV.

Lovely hotel in heart of York City Centre

Lovely clean bedroom, bed was very comfortable. Staff lovely, breakfast was very good both mornings, nice hotel and location was fantastic only a two minute walk into the city up one road, couldn’t have been better. Unable to park at the hotel but parked for free down the road which was about a three minute walk which was absolutely fine. Would definitely use again and would recommend as the price was so much better than in the city itself.

Fantastic place and staff.

Breakfast was good. Orange juice was very cheap though - not freshly squeezed. Old part of the building is very impressive. Charging for a small bottle of water in the room is unacceptable. Hotel could do with a gym as well.

We had a flood the Shower overflowed wasn’t happy as my mum couldn’t use it got moved

The room was quite small but well appointed. We enjoyed the breakfast - was surprised there was no dinner service.

We stayed in the annexe which we were happy with as it was quieter than the main hotel on a Saturday night. Beautiful sympathetic decor. Well maintained decor. Shower room appeared quite new. Lovely white bedding with really comfortable bed, Had a great nights sleep. Staff at breakfast and check in were lovely. Very professional. Good choice of breakfast and served until 11am. Great price overall. One request as we will probably return-please put bags in the room bins. Many thanks.

We only stsyed and had the breakfast but was a good selection.

The room was clean and spacious, we really liked it. I would suggest adding hotel room basics like a toilet brush or tissue box. We had an issue with the AC for the whole building being right outside our room and being extremely noisy, thus preventing us from sleeping the first night. We flagged it to staff, who was very friendly and accommodating, changing our room for the second night although the hotel was fully booked. Apart from this AC issue, the stay was lovely and the location of the hotel was good too.

This is lovely restored Art Deco era hotel. Staff are helpful (special call out to the bar staff). Rooms clean and reasonably comfortable. Note: parking is £18.

Breakfast was excellent. A great place to stay. The room was clean but was a little too warm for our liking, but easily sorted with the room thermostat.
