Botanical garden in the hotel was more impressive than the actual botanical garden

Great service a 5 star customer experience

Travelling with family and granchild, staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Rooms beautifully maintained and facilities excellent

Fabulous 5 star hotel.

Nice hotel and staff

Room was very nice with balcony. Cleaned twice daily. Change of towels and replenishment daily. Chocolate gift box every evening was a nice touch. Staff very helpful. Lovely breakfast, but would have liked more vegetarian options. Several restaurants on site and several others closeby. Shuttle bus to and from town centre and beach front. The spa section is massive and apparently the largest and best in Europe. Both indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzis. Lovely grounds. Just a word of caution, this hotel is in the northern part which is much quieter than the southern part. If you are looking for nightlife and partying perhaps this hotel and this area is not for you.

A really lovely place to stay. The food was universally excellent - nothing disappointing entirely. Staff super-friendly and the spa terrific. Recommend it thoroughly.

Spotless, Relaxing Haven

We have stayed here several times before and I thought every room had a bath and did not request one. I asked the following morning if we could be moved to a room with a bath and this was very kindly and promptly arranged. The problem was insects in the new room. We had 2 little chocolate delivered every evening at turn down. The first night they were crawling with little orange insects. Lots of them. I flushed them down the toilet. The same thing happened the next night. I took them down and showed reception who said the room would be sprayed. It wasn’t. It happened every night and we could see the little insects crawling about in the desk area. I reported it again and asked for a manager to come up and look. I was told that a manager and housekeeping would come to the room. They didn’t. At checkout (we stayed 6 nights) I asked again that a manager come to the room. The receptionist refused and asked me what I wanted done about it. It was of course too late. I told her how unhappy we were with how it had been dealt with (or not dealt with!) We didn’t know what the insects were, whether we should worry about them getting into our belongings,etc and were uncomfortable for most of our stay. Two days later ( we had moved to another hotel in Tenerife) a manager phoned and said she’d just been told and apologised. These things happen. The way it was dealt with was dreadful for a 5 star hotel and I don’t think we’ll return.

The Staff at Hotel Botánico are fantastics

The Hotel its self was amazing. Our room was very lovely and the cleaning of the room was great. There was only 2 things that let it down, the Mediterranean restaurant and the bar. The service in the Mediterranean restaurant was not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The bar we had to wait 40 minutes for a drink. On the other hand the service we received from the Italian restaurant was fantastic, you would of thought you were in a different hotel. This doesn't take it away that the hotel is fantastic and looking forward to return in the future.

Hotel was beautiful. Excellent facilities and staff were great. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice but we did have a disappointing [and expensive] meal in La Parilla restaurant. The quality was nowhere near that which would be expected of a 5 star hotel.

Spotless room. Fantastic house keeping. Lovely breakfasts. Helpful reception staff. Great spa garden.
