I went to the bathroom one morning looked up at the top of the shower there was a cockroach staring at me like he owned the building.

The room was relatively clean. The bed was soft. The building equipment in adjacent rooms or hallway was loud and it was difficult to sleep.

Was a great stay

My experience was nice friendly clerk and staff! Place was very clean!

They are trying to update the property, but not updating in a way that is fixed properly. The ceilings are terrible. The room that we got placed in there was hair and some kind of blue stuff in the bathtub. There was hair on the floor look like this room had not been cleaned at all The gentleman at the front desk took me to see three additional rooms on the first floor. The first room was OK. Ceilings were terrible. Some of the patch jobs was terrible and the little couch had some substance on it. Supposedly this room had been renovated. We went to the second one. It didn't look like it was clean so we saw the third one. It smelled like cigarette smoke. There are some things that don't get that out as I worked in the hotel industry and for HelmsBriscoe. The clerk tried to make it better for me. But all around I didn't feel clean even staying in it. I did not feel clean as this is usually a economy hotel, and I understand that it just needs to be clean and the areas they are renovating need to be clean and appropriately renovated by the way in the third room that we chose to stay in the air conditioner was leaking all over the floor as the clerk really couldn't do anything about it. I asked for a couple of towels he gave me two bar mats, which is great and I just left them underneath the air conditioner because these things happen.

Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and accommodating, we went to check in early and he told us the room wasn't ready yet but let us checkin and get the room key. Said it would be around 3. When we came back, she was finishing up mopping, and carried 2 large bags of trash out of the room. Whomever stayed the night before absolutely trashed the room. They finished moppiand apologized, we told them no need for apologies they couldn't help what idiots do. It took that poor girl over an hour to clean up the roomit was so trashed.

Room had been painted, but the bathroom ceiling was not and had some mold around the edges.

Decent, but the padded sheet didn't fit the mattress so it kept clumping up. In addition somebody was smoking in a room near mine so I kept smelling smoke.

Staff is phenomenal

We booked because we needed pet friendly hotel. The room was dirty with used soap in the dirty bathtub. The floor had a large gap between the bathroom and the rest of the rooms flooring. This was filled up with dirt and debris. The mattress was lumpy and uneven. The TV did not have a remote and the Front Desk did not provide a replacement or move us to a different room. The room was rundown and in need of a good cleaning. We would never stay in this hotel again.

Overall the hotel was nice at one time however it's not being taken care of. Things all over the property are broken and worn. My room has broken light switches and leaking sink and water was left with hair in the sink. The drain on the sink would not open to slow it to drain. Why would they rent rooms like this to customers? Pool area looked nice but we didn't use it. Breakfast was ok but no attendant taking care of needs in the room. Seems fairly consistently not being taken care of in all.accounts.

It was great

Had difficulty finding the hotel as I went into the town before realizing the hotel was not in Washington House. It took a long time to get there as mapquest took me for a trip on the country roads and had the hotel in run down trailer court. Hotel room was very dark. Didn't feel safe there. Night person was just short of being rude. Morning manager was much better.

The staff were wonderful. Our room was clean and cozy. Very nice indoor pool. We will stay again!
