One of my favorite places to stay simply because of the location. A short walk to Cannery row and near the beach. The downfall is how uncomfortable the beds were and the rooms feel a bit lifeless. The fireplace didn’t seem to work, but it could’ve been user error… They also charge for parking, about $17 which I think is pretty steep considering it’s self park and not even a secured/gated lot. Still, the staff was very nice and the rooms were clean.

Linens and mattress were worn, lumpy, and questionable. Staff not knowledgeable or helpful. Literally zero amenities. Supposed to have a balcony, instead got a ground level communal concrete “patio.” Good location but not at all worth the cost. Super Disappointed.

The hotel is in between Cannery Row and the Old Fisherman’s Wharf making it easy to get around these two tourist spots. I recommend this hotel.

It is a wonderful place to stay due to its great location. It is far enough from Cannery Row that it isn’t overwhelming with all the people passing by.

The property itself did not look like the pictures that were online. Additionally, they charge me to park on the hotel property even though I already paid for a room so is an additional $17 per night. The walking path up against the property had some pretty scary, homeless people living there there was this loud banging I took videos All night long randomly. The room was pretty rundown definitely not clean. The toilet was not actually screwed into the ground and the pillows inside the pillowcases were brown and yellow. After speaking with Expedia the hotel does not want to refund the room so I’m hoping that if you guys see this review, you will save yourself time in trouble and stay somewhere else.

it is a nice and friendly staff, clean, beautiful views walking distance to the wharf and a two minute walk to the beach stayed here a few times.

We chose this place because it was more affordable than others and conveniently located. Since we planned to be out most of the day, we mainly just needed a clean and decent place to sleep. The location was a plus—within walking distance to the aquarium and the beach where you can see sea lions. It's not the quietest spot—you can hear traffic and occasionally the sea lions—but it wasn’t a big issue for us. The office has a nice coffee and tea station, though it's not accessible before 8 AM. Overall, it was a good stay, and we’d definitely come back next time we're in Monterey.

Fair price great location

Just a block off the bluff. Or steps from the walkway that runs down Cannery Row itself. Leading to the Aquarium. Walk to an easy dinner or a pampered dinner. Off the balcony we had a view of the water. And listen to the sound of the Sea Lions preaching their own band of politics. Simple place. Small. But great location.

Check in was easy. Although they were painting without any wet signs and it got all over my duffel bag and jacket
