They have you over a barrel at this hotel. There are very few hotel options near the Victoria airport, and this one is massively overpriced for what you get. The rooms are fine but next door to a large, busy gas station, so if you are on the wrong side of the hotel it can be noisy with bright lights.
They recently renovated the rooms but still not worth $300 a night in the summer. Especially when they charge 1/2 that in the off-season. I would have more sympathy if this was a privately owned hotel. But it's a Days Inn...
