It is a beautiful hotel. Great location. Some of the staff at the reception desk are very nice and a few are downright rude. Rooms can get warm. I got a great Expedia deal so it was worth it for us.

This hotel is right near the dock that lets you off from the Airport. Walk around the corner and you are there. It is in a quieter part of Venice which is a plus, but you can walk anywhere.

Exceeded our expectations! Being the first stop from the airport via watertaxi was a huge bonus, the Cannaregio neighborhood is one of the most underrated in Venice. The garden in the back of the hotel is an experience in and of itself, left us speechless, couldn’t believe it when we first walked through. Definitely recommend.

Thank you!!! We finally found a comfortable bed in all of Italy. The three previous hotels had very hard beds, but in this hotel we were able to rest.

Atop St. Mark’s Clock Tower, you will see one of the only gardens in all of Venice A 17th century marvel that is the home of the NH COLLECTION PALAZZO DEI DOGI. Staying here, walking the grounds, sipping a spritz on the private patio, before stepping out onto the dock to be whisked away to the Grand Canal, or some adventure- is truly a princely experience. If you are lucky enough to book the Presidential Suite - you will have a breath-taking view of the lagoon, from two magnificent floors, which will make it hard to leave your rooms at all. Yet, every room and cottage has it’s unique charms. The staff is truly proud of this wondrous place, and their Venetian heritage. We could not have been more pampered, better guided, cared for or more delighted to be their guests. The location is quiet, and the nearby bars and restaurants are abuzz with sophisticated locals, enjoying life. A short walk, and a bridge or two away from all the major attractions - this was truly a memorable experience. Thank you, each and all.

Beautiful, quaint hotel with a beautiful garden area and lovely villa right on the back bay. Doorman (wish I had his name) is phenomenal! Room “upgrade” was interesting as we had small ship pieces of the old ceiling fall on us multiple times while sleeping and we terminated 5-6 mosquitoes over the 2 nights. Coffee and tea replenishment needs to be more consistent, we got decaf coffee only and no replacement of herbal tea or water.

I have been staying at this hotel for over twenty years but this last stay was the first time with the NH ownership and I can say that they have continued the tradition of this grand hotel. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful staff who are professional, friendly and attentive. We love the location as it is quiet and away from the maddening crowds of Venice yet is easily walkable to the main areas of the city.
