The gentleman on reception from Seychelles was amazing and is a real credit to your hotel, nothing was too much trouble, sincere, polite and very helpful.

The property was right where we needed it to be in terms of accessibility to the heart of the city and the train station. It looked nicer in the photos than in real life, mostly because they were promoting renovations to the property that were not yet complete. In our rooms, the fixtures were older, but our rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We would have preferred to know in advance about construction, but the staff were gracious and let us into one of our rooms early, since it was ready. We were tired from traveling and needed a chance to rest. Staff were very nice and professional. They held our bags for us after checkout. The breakfast was tasty and available until 11 am, which we appreciated.

Close to shops and mainline train station. Staff welcoming and helpful. Competitively priced and good value.

Hotel is undergoing works but still a nice place to stay, very friendly staff and comfortable rooms

The hotel is being re-vamped, which is fine, however the toilet seat in my ensuite wasn't fitted properly, the shower didn't work, the room was very noisy.

We booked two rooms for one night. Both rooms had large beds, good facilities and were clean. Breakfast was lovely with the usual full English and continental available. The only problem was as it was a Saturday night one of the rooms had a problem with noise from the street of revellers. Very friendly staff and the refurbishment is not a problem.

Very tired hotel. Not many plugs in the room, and were inconveniently places. In need of a revamp. Breakfast was ok. Staff were nice and friendly.

Handy for the city centre and the conference i was attending. Near to the train station

We stayed here as we were attending a concert at the arena. The hotel was in the perfect location for the train station which was just around the corner. It was a bit of a walk to the arena but we wanted to get food on the way so it gave us the opportunity to find somewhere. At check in the staff were super polite and ensured we had all the information we needed. The room was clean and tidy and the facilities in the room were great with an iron and hairdryer to hand if needed. We booked the breakfast in the morning which was beautifully cooked and very filling. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

The room was very basic furniture wise, there was a safe, tea, coffee, biscuits, iron, fan. My room 221, the shower was just a dribble when on hot and at 5 in the morning there was a rubbish collection

Great service, would definitely stay again

There's little bits that could be improved. I'm a wheelchair user and had to use a side entrance which I needed to ring a bell to get the door opened (I waited here for 5mins - glad t wasn't raining!) some extra consideration could have been given here. I also found via a letter in the room the water will be turned off in the morning! This could have been mentioned on check in as could affect individuals morning routines. I travelled alone and couldn't get to the window to shut the curtain as a wheelchair user. The shower head was at the top and couldn't be reached as a wheelchair user. So nothing major buta few little things that made my stay less enjoyable.

Hotel needs a refresh. Room was noisy, it did face out onto a main road. Was supposed to be a superior room !!

Lovely old skool hotel , my room was clean and functional , the bathroom was also highly adequate , my only misgivings was the bed was too soft for my usual sleeping comfort
