The hotel pictures are far from accurate. Posting pictures from June 2025. The hotel is extremely run down and needing a lot of fixing up before charging the price that it did. The front desk rep was not cheery, however she wasn't bad. I was throughly concerned when the other visitors had to go back to the front desk saying that she gave them the key to an occupied room. The pool was full of algae, they should have drained it if they weren't going to care for it. The whole hotel including the room had a off putting smell. None of the windows have screens and the a/c unit was full of crumbs. There was no chance for fresh air. The smoke detector was detached and missing, but thankfully the room did not smell like smoke. The cleaning was not very well done, however the housekeeper guy was very friendly in a professional manner. I saw a hair on the toilet seat and hairs on the floor near the shower. The shower showed signs of mildew however, it did appear clean enough to use. They did have 2 bars of soap, shampoo/conditioner, and 2 towels. I had to use one for the floor, so not good for 2 guests. The sheets were stained with what I'm guessing was pen ink. Being how run down and ghetto the hotel looked it made it feel really unsafe. I do not recommend visiting here at all. You can find a place equal to this for about $70-80 a night. Definitely found a much better place the next nice for just $10 more than this lie of a place.

Found bodily fluid stains on the mattresses, including blood, bed bug parts and the elevator had no posted safety inspection and sounded like a train. The place was terrible. I hope the new management is able to clean up the stained carpets and get the place up to Code with both Health and Safety and Cal Building Code.

Here I was thinking it’s going to be a nice trip to Santa Cruz, right? NOT AT ALL. When we pulled into the road you could tell that this place was sketchy, but not even sleeping for 30 minutes my brother got BIT UP BY BEDBUGS. Lady offered a different room, we said hell no and now it’s 1:35 in the morning sleeping in a car in their parking lot. DO NOT GO HERE.

The pool is not usable, the carpets are gross, and overall not very clean. Beds were not too bad. Staff was friendly and accommodating with switching rooms. Close to the highway but in the middle of nowhere surrounded by strawberry fields. Spend extra money and stay in Monterey, it would be worth it
