Hotel is really dirty, smells of mildew, there’s holes in the wall and the staff is really rude. I asked for help to clean the room and the lady at the front desk became hostile and walked off.

Was forced out for nothing. All because they didn't take my full payment at check in then never gave my refund for the days I had left and wasn't able to stay

The property was not clean, the staff refused to call anyone to clean the room and there was no manager on duty. I was very frustrated with my very short stay there.

It was an okay place to stay but was difficult to find. Their breakfast was a bit disappointing. The room was satisfactory, but we stayed 2 nights, and they never cleaned our room.

Check in to 2 different rooms, both were dirty. Pool was closed for maintenance, but lady at the desk said the sign is so people won’t bother the front desk. We left and went elsewhere. I was still charged and I am now contacting management to get my money back!

Dirty

The hotel was outdated and dirty. When we first got in our room the bathroom was disgusting dirty. And there are scratches all over the furniture. Ended up leaving and going to another clean hotel.

My daughter and I had a horrible stay at this hotel. Found this place at the last minute and the staff was very rude to us. Even though we stayed because it was last minute and later on in the evening, we were tired. Once we got into the room, we found some drug paraphernalia taped up to the desk and had to call the authorities. The police went downstairs to the front desk and said that the customer didn't want to stay in the room because of that and it was dirty. The manager told them that they couldn't issue a refund because we had booked it through a third party (Expedia). Expedia then said that they contacted Baymont and Expedia said that they would not refund the customer. I still havn't received my room deposit either and it's been like 10 days since staying there. Never ever will i stay there again... I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

It was the most terrible stay I could have experienced. The rooms were utterly dirty and reeked of urine, filled with dust and mold. I was supposed to stay for four days, but I had to check out immediately after waking up. I couldn't get any sleep. To add to the frustration, I never encountered the breakfast that was advertised on the website. They only provided cherrios, bread, and milk; there was nothing more. No fruit, sausage, or eggs. I felt completely cheated.

This hotel is by far the grossest I have ever stayed in, elevator smelled like urine, halls smelled like some kind of pot cross bad odor that lingered into the room, toilet was clogged to the rim and I am not 100% convinced we did not stay in a previous murder scene by the look of the curtains and to top it off there was public/body hair in our beds (nasty). We will never stay at this hotel again, I highly recommend a health inspector visit this place.

This motel in Merrillville has several problems that I experienced in my recent stay there, including a noisy heating unit, broken floor lamp, lack of adequate blankets on the beds, shampoo and conditioner containers that were at best half-full (I suspect the staff never replaced them from the previous lodgers), and a "breakfast" that was the most bare-bones I've ever experienced -- weak coffee, make-yourself waffle, some smallish donuts and bread, and milk. No fruit, nothing beyond bare-bones! Okay, it was cheap enough (appx. $100/night) but it pretty much sucked.

The check-in was awful due to the attitude of the clerk. The elevator smelled the carpet in the hall’s & elevator were dirty. The room was dated no duvet/bedspread. Dirty shower curtains

Horrible guest service, they didn't have extra towels for swimming, the room or wash clothes, pillow cases or sheets and blankets.

Absolutely horrible experience. Disgusting room. Nothing appeared clean despite seeing a cleaning lady in a room down the hall. Pretty sure the sheets did not fit on the bed. Bathroom had no soap. Chair had “unknown” white stains all over it. There were dried contacts stuck to the art above the bed. The bed skirt was disgusting. Our friends had a worse experience in their room and drove home instead of sleeping in a bed with dried blood on it. If we had our child with us we would have had to drive literally anywhere else. We were just waiting for the bed bugs or coackroaches to come crawling out. I can’t believe people are giving this place 5 stars. Will never stay with this brand again.
