Expedia is part of the problem. I booked a hotel that i had to cancel 72 hours before arrival. Both Expedia and the hotel turned me around on the phone and didn’t help me at all. So I lost money and NO I didn’t stay in the Bahamas at all.

The hotel is beautiful and all of the staff are very friendly. The location is perfect for exploring Nassau by foot. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Some staff was nice while others were rather rude. The food was ok. The other “sister hotels” don’t let you use their amenities. The location of this hotel puts you in the crowds of 5-6 cruise ships daily.

The most OKAY experience imaginable! Nothing was bad, nothing was great, just average across the board. The staff didn't go above and beyond, but they all did what you'd expect. The food was great, but the prices were high = okay value. Okay location, close enough to everything, but also near some sketchy parts. The beds were comfortable, BUT loud street traffic, loud fans, too close to ice machine, and flashing lights in the room made for OKAY night sleeps. I spoke with other guests who felt the same. 5 star rating requires exceeding expectations. 4 star rating requires a good experience. This was an okay experience.

1. The valet upon arrival was not in place and the wait was longer than expected. 2. There was too much noise in the hallway in the night time and too much noise from the neighboring room at night. 3. There was too much vehicular noise in the night time and very early morning.

The room was nice. The first night we got there the water was shut off and we couldn’t shower. They let us know in the am that they were working on the water. Day 2 the water didn’t get hot was told give it a few hours it never got had ended up taking a cold shower for 2 days asked to speak with manager no on was available. Next night we had French doors the wind was blowing extremely hard and it created a loud whistling noise in the room we couldn’t sleep maintenance came up the couldn’t fix it told us we would have to change rooms but no rooms were clean for us to go to. So the entire stay just wasn’t good at all and NO ONE addressed the issues after me calling everyday and goin to the front desk to ask for help.

It is a beautiful historic hotel; clean, comfortable beds and a gracious staff. The hotel lacks amenities and the prices for food and drink are outrageous. Nassau pretty much shuts down after the cruise ships leave and there is very little to do after that. Very disappointing and expensive 4 days. We will not be back and cannot recommend to anyone wanting to visit.
