Extremely dated and not to a good standard for the price. Dinner was absolutely terrible. Like a buffet you’d expect in a school. Poor choice and food cold&stale. For £25 an adult and £15 a child. Robbery. Avoid! Breakfast not much better. Room was dirty with wee left in the toilet before we arrived. Room had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. Pool ok.

Staff were very welcoming, however we had a problem getting into our room and had to go to reception twice before it was resolved. Room was tired but functional. Public areas could have been cleaner however it was very busy and staff were working hard to keep up with demand. Staff were excellent.

Old family favourite hotel so we love this hotel despite the need for upgrades and lack of staff. We loved our stay and would definitely come again. Just wish the food was better on site

I had a fantastic stay at the Coylumbridge Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, set in beautiful grounds creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I loved the great selection food at the restaurant. The clean swimming pool and sauna were perfect for unwinding after a cold day on the nearby ski slope at Cairngorms. The local bus service stops directly outside of the hotel . I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

The lobby bar area is large, comfortable and welcoming. Swimming pool was good and we enjoyed although the slide is out of order. sad we have to pay towels for £1 each, in the end towels gone missing I think towels should be FREE to used. Mattress was hard weren't the comfiest, neither were the pillows. Carpet are so dirty need proper cleaning. One staff in the Funhouse is very rude towards guest/ visitors not very welcoming, needs proper training how to dealt with guest/visitors with using polite and friendly manners. The location is perfect for exploring the Cairngorms. Great location for town and mountains.

The Coylumbridge hotel is ideally situated for a near to the Cairngorms and Aviemore. It's great value and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly, but way understaffed and seemed to run out of basic things like most food and drink.

Horrendous experience. Check in took over an hour. The room was too hot and smelly. The beds were uncomfortable. There were festive activities that required additional booking and £120+ payment for family of 4 to attend a ceilidh, which was fully booked. The hotel in general was understaffed. The woodshed shut at 10pm. Towels for the pool cost £1.50.

This hotel is long overdue an overhaul and this year it was nice to see they’ve started it on some rooms. Worth a visit but don’t expect plush 4/5 star hotel. It’s dated but they seem to be improving things. Staff are lovely, pool is small and the lady who runs the pool does so with an iron fist and is sometimes over zealous. Amazing setting, great breakfast and average rooms. This year our mattress was in dire need of replacing but the room itself was clean and tidy. The entertainment is very cheesy but great for the kids. Nothing really much for the adults. It is worth a visit but we are hoping next year they will have done a lot more to the place to bring it up to date. Children’s play areas are great and the arcades are brilliant for passing time. Not really that expensive either. Overall, worth a visit but don’t get your hopes to high. We use it as a base to chase the snow for the kids each winter.

Allocated a “courtyard” room which was actually a refurbished room in the staff block and had a strong smell of dampness in the bedroom. The room was adapted for wheelchair users with an adapted bathroom. We did not book an adapted room and it reminded my friend of recent hospital stays instead of a relaxing break away. Had to pay additional £50 for hotel bedroom!

Average property with a lot of potential. Needs a lot of work, most of the staff we encountered have the impression they’d rather be anywhere else, my son is coeliac and food has to be ordered at the bar. When I asked at the bar for gluten free options the bartender said ‘it’s on the menu isn’t it’. Sort of, but I needed more information to gauge if it was safe for my son to eat. Turns out the only thing for him was nachos. After a 45 minute wait we got them with about 8 pieces of chicken on some corn chips with a squeeze of orange cheese. Awful. Disappointing because it’s in a great location and has huge potential with the facilities they have

Buffet dinner very repetitive over a week. Would more likely choose bed and breakfast without dinner included. Food was nice but too much the same or similar each night when staying for a week.

the place looked nothing like the photos and while the staff was nice, the building and rooms were not in good shape and there are holes in the floor covered by carpet that I kept tripping in.

I would not stay at this property again in. The shower was extremely tiny. The bathroom very small. The rooms extremely small. The person in the room next door was smoking in the room, desk staff would not move us. The food was extremely bland. Very mediocre.

Our room was pretty bare bones and there were stains on the wall. The sound-proofing isn’t great so lots of noise from hallway, adjacent rooms, road. The worst though was the Woodshed. The bartender was not friendly, and seemed irritated to have to answer questions. The nachos were terrible. Not a single vegetable, just grey strips of beef. Hardly any cheese and what was there wasn’t melted. No napkins provided and the bartender went from table to table with a large black garbage bag scooping people’s trash into it. Classy. The bartenders in the lobby bar were great. Especially the young man with the curly hair.
