This is my go-to hotel when I am in Karlsruhe for business. The location works well, the restaurant is good, and the cigar bar is a nice touch. The staff is generally friendly and professional. The spa area is one of the highlights: spacious, clean, with a nice bar, a solid pool, and especially excellent saunas. That part of the hotel feels well maintained and thoughtfully designed. However, the rooms are a completely different story. Some of the single rooms feel extremely outdated, almost like a small guesthouse from decades ago. The design, furniture, and overall atmosphere do not match the standard suggested by the common areas. Even the suites, while better, are still clearly dated. It honestly feels like two separate worlds: modern public spaces and spa versus rooms that have not kept up with the same standard. If you book here, pay close attention to the room category. The difference is significant. And if you expect a more modern or premium room, be prepared for rates above €200 per night. Overall, a good business hotel with strong facilities, but the room quality is inconsistent and does not fully align with the rest of the property.

Above expectations

Like: SPA is amazing, big-ish pool with integrated jacuzzi, lots of beds, bar, free fruits, water and tea; nice saunas, clean 10/10, towels, chairs, beds. Massages are mediocre, don't expect anything wow. Restaurant is amazing, food is 8/10, service is impeccable, expect high end prices. Breakfast is probably one of the best in DE, cant complain, maybe add more vegetables and some more lactose free stuff, the made on spot omelettes are almost perfect. Bar is nice, smoking area, cigars shop, nice cocktails, expect high end prices here as well. DON’T like: Rooms??? All of them… except maybe the high end ones - the suit style which are spacious, clean of course, big bathrooms. Tbh big and clean bathrooms have even smallest rooms. Pillows are terrible, just change them for Christ sake, they feel like a piece of cloth with nothing inside, feels like having nothing under your head. Mattress are almost as terrible but are manageable for 1-2 nights. Beds well depends on the room, the single business whatever rooms feels like you are staying in a hostel, student dorm rooms, smallest bed ever.

Great location, beside S station (s1and s11 from Karlsruhe). A block from old town, restaurants and shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant room. Did not use SpA facilities

Old world charm with beautiful modern rooms. Attentive staff and small personal touches. A delicious breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. The pool and spa area is very peaceful retreat. Look forward to staying at the ErbPrinz.

Luxury pure. This hotel is very clean and everyone so friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The pool and spa area was wonderful. You can relax and enjoy yourself. It’s close to the city and the tram. I can only recommend this hotel.

Very nice old place. The food was excellent with a good breakfast buffet. The staff was professional and helpful. Parking is available but we came by train. The stop is about 100 meters from the hotel. The restaurant food is expensive but worth it.

If you want to eat dinner at the hotel you have to make reservations way ahead of time. Being a hotel guest doesn't necessarily give you access to the restaurant, had to go elsewhere each night. Staff is not friendly

The food was fabulous. The staff were friendly and attentive. The swimming pool was very calming and relaxing. Sadly, due to the fire the sauna was still closed. Was still able to have a very nice massage, but selections are very limited at this time. I had a double business room. It was comfortable but pretty basic. It was very clean. Biggest downside was the bed. I know this is considered an upscale, German style hotel but the bed was just 2 single beds pushed together. And the beds had hard wooden frames so in the middle there was a large separation with wooded framing. I would have at least expected a modern queen sized mattress in this upscale hotel. Also the bathroom door hit the toilet and the bathroom was very small. Non of this was a problem for my stay alone, but sharing with another would definitely have been less comfortable.

Not many guests due to Corona

I had the Sky suite and the shower was not working. For the price of that room I at least expect the shower to work. When told the reception by check out she said she can't do anything but will management know. I have not received anything yet.

Great hotel for short business trip

Great location and a lovely hotel. Very friendly staff and a magnificent hotel to stay in.

The stay was good except, the internet signal was very weak in the room. Only German TV, so nothing to watch at night if you don't understand German.
