Great service, especially the young man who ran the bar, waited and seemed to do everything expertly. Delicious food, catering for dairy intolerance was appreciated. Lovely relaxed scenic grounds and flowers. Mews room on ground floor was nice. No fridge or AC in room but no issue. Would definitely return!

Parking and layout of venue good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu was divine for dinner, lounge and breakfast - gorgeous food and locally sourced. Outdoor games available - croquet, petanque. Bed very comfortable.

Perfect stay

The hotel looks nice and the public areas are well kept (apart from the dead flies on the windowsills next to the tables) the attention to detail needs work. The rooms however do need some attention from the management. Poorly maintained, very dirty and unkept. Disappointing for a hotel at this price point. The staff are all very nice and are the hotels biggest positive.

Nice property and Staff were excellent. Pillows were poor and bathroom should be upgraded for the price.

Although some areas could take a lick of paint, this traditional country house hotel was just what we wanted pre our Le Shuttle journey. The staff are an absolute credit to hospitality, the food is delicious and the bed was comfy, great shower pressure and peace and quiet plus safe parking.

A nice stay in a very comfortable room. The hotel is beautifully situated & the history of the building is very interesting. Breakfast was tasty & staff were attentive. Will be staying again, in future.

Beautiful setting…

We came for a few days at Christmas and it was wonderful. The chef was very accommodating to my daughter’s gluten free requirements. The food was wonderful and the staff were especially kind and attentive.

Superb personal service .For the size of hotel i have never had such attentiveness and care from every member of staff i dealt with .

Attended a family wedding. Staff, service, food and venue as a whole were all excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our chat with the head chef (Ale) who we met outside the vegetable garden, great guy, passionate about the hotel, menu selection etc. Every meal was exceptional. Beds and rooms we very comfortable.
