We had a nice stay and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The room is clean and bed is comfortable

Very courteous staff, clean spotless family room, excellent breakfast range, overall very pleasant weekend.

Bar food offering was very poor, bar area was characterless and physically cold. Staff were friendly but not a great place to spend any time unfortunately.

Room 302 Shower room, no heating, shower screen had no lower seal so water leaked onto floor. Toilet seat not fitted properly. Carpet in bedroom area totally uneven, like the underlay or floorboards were damaged. Asked for more milk cartons at reception during the evening as there was only 2 provided in room and was told they didn’t have access to any more. Was offered a glass of milk from the bar but hardly suitable to keep in room overnight.

I have been staying here for many years and it’s so sad to see it going downhill, the building is beautiful, grounds stunning, spa and gym very good, but the quality is slipping so much, the restaurant atmosphere is tense and unwelcoming, rooms so cold even though the small electric panel radiator is on full, bathroom no heading at all even though switched on no power This place is livery and so much potential, the staff need energy and confidence from management you can see they are young and nervous, confidence comes from the top Heat the rooms, I know it’s expensive but comfort is key to a good stay I paid for a suit, it was the same room I have stayed in so many times before, very basic Don’t spend more money on EV chargers spend it on heating and training, the place deserves it

Perfect one night stay, friendly staff, room was spotless and they catered for my partners birthday with rose petals and some birthday cakes which was extremely appreciated

All staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Electric vehicle charging was good.

Spacious room, pool and spa facilities, good food. Decor a bit dated. But a nice place to stay.

Rude staff, awful room, and I left a smartwatch in my room which conveniently went missing when I called the hotel to try to retrieve it! So basically housekeeping kept it. My efforts to speak to the manager were met with absolutely awful rudeness by the reception staff, I will never stay here again! Terrible hotel

One night stay. Very plain but comfortable standard king room. Staff ranged from friendly to grumpy. Good location. Good parking. Hotel looks tired in some areas. In general above average but could and should be better. Its all in the detail.

Check in was poor, no information provided about breakfast, restaurants or anything other than the room number! No staff to help with luggage. The website said afternoon tea was available but when we returned to reception to ask she said she didn’t know if there was any food available (4.30pm) and advised us to go to the restaurant. The restaurant was empty, not a single member of staff to be found. Waited ten minutes then gave up and left the hotel to eat. Room was fine, dated but comfortable enough and the pool is nice, but bathroom in the room needs a good clean, plus broken plug and the showers at the pool are poor. Overall this hotel is absolutely not 4 stars and I’m shocked it has this rating. I’d consider it 2 stars

Check in was courteous and efficient, room spacious and clean, with good temperature control for cold weather at least, breakfast well worth it. Excellent facilities gym, pool bar and restaurant. Restaurant had excellent dinner menu and food was top notch.

Room was very tired, needs updating. Bar food was uninspiring, barman could do with some training in Customer Service...cancelled second night booking, going elsewhere!

nice easy check in staff was nice arrive half hour early room was ready big room very clean ..food was nice ..pool was good for a swim the only thing the steam room needs a good clean .but over all good 👌

Hotel is outdated and beds are very uncomfortable

Drinks from bar are very expensive, the evening menu was limited and also expensive I ordered fish masala at £22 slightly bigger than a fish finger
