OK property. I think we were in a "budget" studio room which met our needs but was not as relaxing an experience as I had hoped. Room was adequate but faced the parking lot, got the afternoon sun (and heat) so the window AC continuously cycled on and off. Outside high temperature was only in the low 90s so seems like the building could use a better HVAC system. Not an issue for us since we brought our food, but the restaurant is only open certain days and times. Otherwise Payson is the closest food.

I am looking forward to returning. I had a room in June 2025. I would like to try the cabin next time.

The setting is beautiful, surrounded by tall pines and close to Tonto Creek, making it a great spot for outdoor lovers. The cabins and rooms have a rustic, cozy feel, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing—perfect for a weekend escape. The property has some nice amenities like a pool, hot tub, and game room, and there are plenty of nearby hiking and fishing spots. It’s family-friendly and also great for couples looking to unplug. Overall, Kohl's Ranch offers a comfortable and affordable getaway in a scenic location. A great base for exploring the Rim Country.

Loved staying there- very close hiking. Disappointed restaurant & bar closed most days we were there.

This property is stand alone. All the staff was super friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was well prepared. The surrounding area was relaxing and family friendly.

Fun to play pickleball, bocce ball and use the hot tub

They have a policy that if you don’t stay 5 days they do not clean your room or restock.

Super cute, we made a reservation last minute and staff was super patient and kind! Room was clean, bed was great. Very happy with our stay!

Overall a ok stay, been coming here for 35yrs and still disappointed the bar and restaurant are closed and i can't have my dog there. My 2 day trips would be longer and much more frequent if we had some perks here.

The running creek, tall pines and wonderful cabin were unique but the pool, spa and restaurant completed the restful package! Will be back again!

Lovely

This was our 10th year staying at Kohls Ranch and it is never a disappointment! The groundskeepers, housekeeping, front desk and especially the restaurant staff was amazing!! We will definitely be back for Year 12--Till Next Year!
