Beautiful and quiet. Close to Staffelsee and Murnau town by car. Really enjoy the resort especially the breakfast and pools. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Great place to relax, will definitely stay again, good value for the money.

The photos don't do this place justice. Excellent buffet breakfast, cozy lawns to relax, the spa pools and sauna and facilities are among the best I've experienced. 5 min drive into Murnau. Friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant for dinner has nice ambiance but few authentic Bavarian options. Had great dinner in town. Great walking trails in the Moos and Biergarden about 10 minutes away. Friendly bar service, nice location, beautiful views. We bought a 6-bottle case of the excellent sparkling wine to give as gifts. Interesting history of the Blue Rider group in Murnau. Check out the Franz Marc museum in Kochelsee a 20 minute drive away. Will definitely stay here again.

Komfortables und sauberes, mittelgrosses Hotel mit gutem Service. Die Standard-Zimmer sind sehr klein, ab Junior-Suite ist es angenehm. Das Personal macht das beste aus der aktuellen Situation (Covid-19). Leichte Abzüge bei der Frühstücksleistung (vielleicht ebenfalls virenbedingt) und beim Parkplatzangebot (begrenzt). Das Essen im Hotel ist ansonsten ausgezeichnet.

In addition to the great restaurant in the hotel, it was just a brief walk to the town, w ith many restasurants and scenic places.

Excellent hotel, great facilities, spa, swimming pool etc. and the area is really of outstanding beauty.

We loved our stay. The staff was the best!! So helpful in every way. The food was fabulous and the room cozy with everything we could have wished for. A very easy short walk to town. Perfect views. We loved every minute!

Hotel is in a great spot, ideally placed for both Murnau itself, and the regional highlights. Very clean, well thought out. Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is great, service is perfect, room very big and with everything you need ( except a kettle, that would be great to have one). It’s located inside beautiful area with the moss and the lake. We rented bikes from the hotel. Only there are not enough chairs in the spa area and the food for dinner took very long. But overall we enjoyed the stay there

Unique high end hotel with emphasis on details such as china, professionalism of staff, relaxed environment, outstanding kitchen. The only issue I found is a lot of ...flies around the food.

The hotel stand in a beautiful area, a lot of nature and hiking trails. The rooms are various, ask for room with balcony. Great restaurant in the Hotel.

Lovely hotel in typical Bavarian style. Our room 63 had been updated and was very nice. The view of the mountains from our room was an added bonus. The bed was a bit hard for me but that’s my only complaint! The toiletries, duck dressed in a dirndle and free mini bar were great perks. The spa and swimming pools are very relaxing after a day climbing mountains or paddle boarding on the lake. Breakfast was also delicious and there was loads of choice. A fantastic 3 nights in a beautiful place.

Amazing - staff, rooms, accommodation, cleanliness and facilities are all second to none. We shall definitely return and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The AlpenHof is very nice. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast selection is incredible. Rooms are nice, clean and modern.

I stayed at this hotel only one night for business, but it was quite comfortable. I'm not a big fan of Alps-style hotels (lots of pine, chalet style), and the decor in the room wasn't exactly the most modern, but it was very clean, in good condition, and overall I was happy with the accommodation. The room service food and breakfast buffet were good, the staff are excellent (very friendly and helpful), and you even get to take the Trachtenmode-clad rubber ducky with you, so overall very pleased with this choice.

Stayed with adult family. This was my second time here (first for business) and I continue to be impressed with the Alpenhof Murnau. The staff is very welcoming and helpful (they even gave us a ride to the train when it was raining). The breakfast is superb. My family enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Much bigger rooms than many European hotels and every one has a view to the Alps. The only drawback is that its a bit away from the town center (20 min. walk).
