The hotel is in a fairly good location so I'm not necessarily familiar with the area. Up here to visit with a friend so I'm 17 minutes from his house. Check-in was nice, and the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean, and surprisingly the bed was comfortable. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use a significant upgrade. There's no internet hooked up to the TVs so you can't use Netflix or YouTube. The toilets are really low sitting which is a problem if you have back issues. The air conditioning was rather noisy and I had maintenance come up to fix the matter or move to a different room. The toilet clogged and maintenance was up within 5 minutes to fix the issue.

The hotel was ok. Not ideal for business travel with half size ironing boards and small irons.

, no, no, no! It's not a hotel. It's a government housing building with a La Quinta sign in front. Police cars there, multiple, every night. Kids and dogs running all over.
Terrible bad awful!!
I feel cheated

Fire alarm went off twice in one day. Once at midnight. Evidently it happens all the time
False alarms but no announcement or anything.

Too many people hanging out in the lobby. A big hole in the carpet in the room. The fire alarm went off extremely early in the morning

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Dirty, dated and the breakfast was disgusting.
But worst of all there is Government housing people living in this hotel! I did not feel safe staying there with the element of people living in this hotel.
The Audacity to charge me 1,200 for 4 nights and not inform me prior to booking that this is a section 8 hotel that people live in!
I’m beyond furious!!

My family and I were highly satisfied with our stay. Staff was courteous and the price per night was reasonable. We enjoyed the breakfast offered and parking was free and easy.

The hotel is noisy until late as night. There are a lot of kids running around the hallways and the lobby in the evening. There was also a lingering smell by my hallway.
I found out online today that La Quinta, Garden City was turned into a shelter for homeless shelter. I did not feel threatened by anyone there and i do believe it’s great that these families find a safe place to stay. But when you pay to stay at a hotel you have the right to expect an other and more usual experience

The room was clean and they replaced the carpet with a nice kind of laminate - which I loved because you know when it is clean!!!

I booked this hotel for my husband as our normal hotel in the area was at capacity. Big mistake! It seemed like it was more of a shelter as families were living there…moms were leaving for work…children were running about in pajamas…and people were loitering outside. I’ve always thought that empty hotels would make ideal shelters for unhoused people. However, it needs to be utilized only for that purpose so that traditional patrons are able to have a peaceful stay. There was not a public space in the hotel that wasn’t packed, loud, and chaotic. My husband felt like an intruder in someone’s home. We make multiple trips to the area yearly and will not stay here again.

Tired property. I shouldn't see tape on the floor and areas that need paint.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I found the room to be clean and spacious. Around the area there is plenty of restaurants, a movie theater and a super market all in close proximity of this hotel. I believe there is a even a bowling down the block. I would stay at this hotel again.
