The room was basic but clean and tidy. The wardrobe was too small for a full length dress and the tv was fixed in a manner that meant it could not fully face the bed. The staff were friendly and the bar was reasonsbly priced. The Victorian building was very impressive.
The worst part by far was the limited Dinner menu, Buffet or, Fish and Chips, Gammon and chips or Burger. This was at £30 a person. My starter of Ravioli( 5 pieces) was dry and tasteless, the fish and chips looked and tasted like a budget motorway service effort. Very disappointing. We skipped all further meals and ate at the Restaurants and pubs in the town.
