I expected significantly more for the price paid. The location is excellent for those working at the Venusberg campus, as the hotel is only a few minutes away. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are spacious; however, the furniture appears outdated and was at times not properly cleaned. The breakfast quality is below average, and the dining room lacks a cozy or welcoming atmosphere.

Very nice and quiet, friendly staff. Is a bit of a time capsule back to the 90's but not a bad thing!

Very poor check in. No information given. Came down for dinner at 8pm to be told kitchen was closed and no food available even though lady on reception said food was on until 9pm. Restaurant manager very rude and didn’t care. Bar roped off and closed and nowhere even to sit and have a drink. No advice given about where else to try and eat in the area. Staff didn’t care. Breakfast just as bad. Dirty tables. Uninspiring food which just sat there for ages without being refreshed. Supposed to be a 4 star Superior hotel. Not even close. Have been travelling to Germany for years. Worst experience ever.

I had an amazing time at my stay! The place was super relaxing, and the facility was beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and courteous. And the grounds were so serene and peaceful. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Quite and clean place

It is. Nice looking hotel but I think a 20€ parking fee per night is a bit much. The rooms are clean and have a beautiful view very quiet but need some updation. Overall it's a very good cost value option.

Older hotel but nice and quiet in the middle of a wood. Clean and nice staff.

No coffe machine in the room, no elevator that allows transportation of heavy bags without using one flight of stairs, no water bottles provided every day, only ine bottle upon check in. The restaurant menu is good but doesn't change. Otherwise very pleasant atmospheric place to stay.

Compared to the photos, the rooms seemed more dated in real life. Additionally they advertised the pool/spa area on the photos but didn’t advise prior to the visit that it has been closed for a little while due to renovations.

We loved this hotel; beautiful grounds, kind staff, lovely bedrooms, great breakfast! Hope to be back!

rundown hotel still feeding from the former glory

It took almost 1 hour to get CHECKED-IN. Firstly we got a room without a window. It actually had a window but it was like 40 cm on 40 cm like a window in a cell in jail. The photo stated, that it has a balcony but it didn't. The photo are false advertising. Be aware

Beautiful location in the woods with partial view over the Rhine. Room price was more than reasonable. Staff super friendly. Disappointing was no coffee machine in the room and parking too expensive. Bar not in operation due to COVID-19. Seemed like would have been a nice spot to relax. All in all definitely recommendable.

This is really nice hotel. Highly recommended! The property located at the top of small mountain in beautiful forest and has breathtaking views. Very quiet and relaxing. Everything you need in the city is minutes away.
