Room was clean and well maintained, but parking price was so expensive something could have added on website regarding parking fees.

Rooms need updating on the second floor the furniture is dated and falling apart Bathrooms good condition the.pillows are hard need to be softer. Rooms very hot in July one small noisy fan provided if not putting in air conditioning then supply few more upright standing fans in the rooms. I would also say the entertainment staff worked very hard you could provide maybe 1 or 2 professional acts. The breakfast very good you need to provide fruit in morning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and good value for money.

Excellent hotel and experience, car parking was a little pricey at £28 per night.

Enjoyed our stay but was upset that we wasn't told the pool was out of use as the swimming pool is one of the resin I book this hotel.

Amazing staff and very helpful. The room was super clean and tidy, despite being in the older (so not refurned) part of the hotel. It was worth it for the super sea view! It was a shame that the pool was not in operation, but these things happen. We have stayed here several times, including during the slight freeing up of lockdown, and have many happy memeories of enjoying the beautiful garden. Breakfast was slightly lovely but not of the same standard as previously, although it was delightful to see many of the same staff doing a great job. Thank you - we will be back!

We booked a small double room via Expedia and it wasn’t until we received the check in email that it stated the room was “windowless”. However when we arrived, the reception desk did change it to a room with a small window that opened slightly. The room was tiny, the bedding had a stain on it, the carpet had stains on it,a fan had been provided due to the heat which was horrendous but the fan was covered in dust. We didn’t end up staying here we lost our money and booked at another hotel. Wouldn’t recommend.

We recently stayed at the Royal Bath Hotel and had a very positive experience overall. Our room (170) was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and everything we needed, including a kettle with tea and coffee, a fan ( as there is no air conditioning), an ironing board with an iron and a hairdryer. The blackout curtains were also a great feature and helped us sleep well. The hotel has a lovely old-English charm, and the main bar is wonderful. The location is definitely one of its biggest highlights, steps way from the Pier- hard to beat! During our stay, the swimming pool was unavailable, but the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were open and enjoyable. The staff were kind and helpful, and we appreciated that they looked after our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The only disappointment, but small thing, was the full breakfast. I felt could offered a wider selection, particularly fresh fruit and few more options. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return to this hotel.

Booked daughter's bday for lovely experience but was a joke! Premier inns and caravan holidays better food and service. Food was shocking!! If you stay in hotel eat else where! £20 per person for a manky "buffet" people were eating soup cos it that bad. There were no menus There dinner pics online are AI as did not av Yorkshire pudding, no mash, no cauliflower, no chicken or meat apart ham sliced dry beef. It was Mushy peas, little kids basic cods the cheapest mixed veg with the square carrots, sliced beef next to a wat looked like tinned curry All looked precooked from 2 nights ago The lettuce looked days left out. It looked like hospital food and when sat down in dining area my daughter was in tears cos she had manky cod and mushy peas with a couple of potatoes and a little tomatoe. I wish I took her else where I could av got her 3 course meal for 20 per person that was cooked perfect. Felt like eating in a residense home. Pool was broke!! They should announce no swimming pool online as it was the reason I booked the hotel. Apparently its been broke from last summer too so they in no rush to fix it. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful but it felt like it was run by unhappy staff members that didnt care about their jobs, customers or the hotel. There was no service apart from a flustered French man who had a attitude. The man at the reception also had a attitude and I felt uncomfortable of them repeating our room number outloud for others to here. 4 out of 10.

Booked a suit. It was dog friendly, which was a delight. The bed was not very comfy and the pillows were super hard. The room was large, once we found the second room attached the booking half way through our trip. The bathroom was lackluster and there were not enough supplies for not having room sercive available (i.e. toilet paper, body wash). The grounds didnt have enough staff to keep them clean from the other guests. The building is becoming dilapidated outside, might benefit from a fresh paint job and powerwashing. Lots of cups, mugs, plates, and trash. The hotel didnt receive my messages through Expedia. However, the location was great.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were very courteous and always helpful. Breakfast was buffet with varieties of what to eat. The bar was icing on the cake with excellent service. Thanks to the management and 5 stars all the way.

On top floor of a poorly insulated modern extension, no air conditioning, little ability to access fresh air - two window lights high up. If we had not had one fan, the room would have been intolerable. No evidence of a working extractor fan in the bathroom.

The rooms, regardless of their price, unfortunately lack ventilation and air-conditioning. However, the leisure club and bar are quite lovely.

Upside: SUPER friendly and helpful staff, nice bar. Good atmosphere. An amazing garden. Great location - easy walk to the beach. Quiet, despite being central. To manage your expectation: - The hotel is very old with squeaky wooden floors under the carpet… the furniture is from ages ago, too. If you are after luxury, forget about it. - The pool would be great in winter. For summer (particularly if there is a heatwave), it is way too warm! CAUTION: If you are booking one of the cheaper room options, call them and confirm your room will have a proper window.

The terrace and gardens were a great place to relax with drinks & food available from the bar. Bar staff were great. Our room was upgraded on arrival and was enormous with views over the gardens. Great location as only a 5 min walk to the pier. Would def stay here again

Our check‑in had disruptions, but these were eventually resolved and compensation was provided. Reception staff had only basic local knowledge and could not give clear parking guidance. We parked at an expensive nearby car park despite calling ahead. Future guests should avoid Bath Road South Seafront Parking and use Central Car Park on Parsonage Road (offers affordable 24‑hour rates). The room had sealed windows that could not be opened, and the installed ventilations were not working throughout our stay (reported, but no action was taken). 2 electric fans were provided: one worked quietly and was sufficient. The closet shelves were not properly cleaned. The bathroom was between good-satisfactory; one ventilation did not work, and the shower head bracket could not swivel. 2 staff members stood out positively: Colin had excellent local knowledge, and Raph (manages housekeeping and the Gym & Spa) was helpful. I booked this hotel for its theatrical Victorian style, ocean‑liner‑style lounge/bar; gym & spa (not complimentary); free live entertainment in a separate lounge/room; and large back garden with a raised decked platform leading to a side path toward the beach. It also has elevators with buts.. It was a short ferry ride to Swanage where the sandy, shallow-water Knoll Beach is located. I recommend using the ferry back and forth to Bournemouth, unless you are familiar with the routes and would like to see Corfe Castle and more.

Windows were stuck fast leaving just a fan in the room for a hot evening. Bathroom pressure was good. Ok for one night. Breakfast was not worth the money- no pastries and small selection to choose from
