Clean room, good selection at breakfast and leisure facilities are good.

I am surprised at a hotel of this size and calibre doesn’t offer a secure Wi-Fi for guests. No fridges in the room. Room was clean and comfortable, bed exceptionally comfortable, the duvets were very good but made for rather a warm night, even with the window open. Having a window that opened was another plus point, so many hotels serve you up with windows that cannot be open so rooms are stuffy. Staff were excellent.

Healthy Breakfast/ Continental selection is basic or poor;

I’ve stayed here 3 times before. The staff are excellent everytime. For some reason everytime I come I get the loudest rooms looking onto walls or roofs, whereas people I’m travelling with get balconies & views onto the courtyard. On this particular stay my room was next to a huge machine that was left on all night. It was incredibly loud & was hard to fall asleep. (To be fair I didn’t mention this to them at the time as it was 11pm & I had an early wake up the next day, so i’m unsure if they could have moved me or not.) On previous stays I’ve woken up at 7.30am to the noise of pickleball being played loudly in the sports hall. This last stay would potentially put me off coming back. It wasn’t a one off so I don’t think I’d want to take the risk again.

Tidy, clean good gym and bar area.

The good: Nice hotel and lovely attentive staff. The bad: Probably my incorrect expectations but was expecting room AC for a 4* The ugly: Brave the unlit path, if you dare, to get to the Chineham shopping centre. No fault of the hotel but Hampshire County Council should sort this out as its an accident waiting to happen!

Leisure

Lovely modern airy hotel, superb for pickleball comp and easy parking. Set next to several large shops for coffee, food etc Only downside was the price of food in the restaurant and nowhere close by to walk to for food and level of staff eg coffee bar only one serving and left without getting a drink due to time required to get served

Brilliant pool just for adults. Nice bars and restaurant. Food a bit pricey. Nice breakfast.

My partner and I stay here whenever passing through due to the gym and sauna. The rooms are all clean and comfortable, but amenities vary depending on what you book--when staying for business, we stay in a nicer room which has a mini fridge with drinks, shampoo, conditioner, soap, bathrobes etc. When just passing through, we book a basic room which has a shampoo/soap combo, no shampoo, no mini fridge and no bathrobes.

A pleasant hotel for a night's stay. Had everything we needed. Tea/ coffee facilities but no fridge. Small bottled water provided. Room was a little cold though. All areas of the room and bathroom was clean. Friendly staff and nice restaurant area. Menu was acceptable.
