Very noisy private function made it impossible to sleep - had to change rooms at midnight. Horrible experience - would never return. Was promised a refund and will be pursuing this.

No one let themself into my room this time which I guess is an improvement. Still only a single desk chair per room which is pathetic in a room for 2 people, this week I bought a camping chair with me so I had somewhere to sit comfortably. Place is far too busy with day trippers to facilities making the public areas deeply unattractive to me and not at all restful, plus all the noise from M4 - better double glazing needed. Missed opportunity with outdoor access, only area is small terrace on a north facing wall so too cold. Could easily put some tables and benches around the site for customers but you probably want them near the refreshments so that they spend their money. Overall I think you offer very poor value for money.

Always have a good stay at the village… number one choice for Cardiff stays x

very loud slamming doors, too noisy. For a room that sleeps 2 why is only 1 chair provided, this is really bad and unacceptable and why I would never choose your hotel again, even Travelodge manage it. A staff member let himself into my room because he thought it was empty, but I had to go down to reception to find that out as he ran away. Another colleague had turned my 3 night stay into 1 night, then left feeling unsafe in my room. Can't turn lights on/off from bed, only the bedside ones. Most of the Freeview channels are missing - why, again unacceptable. Claiming that you offer room service when it is only drinks is misrepresentative and really poor.

Excellent customer service from all the staff.

Overall good, couple of niggles. It's located by a motorway and it is noisy as the windows dont shut properly. The breakfast was great apart from the bacon, which they cook folded in half so one side is crispy and one side is soft.

Noisy room next to cleaning cupboard where was woken each morning at 5-6am. Room lost all power during the stay for a period resulting in having to sit in lobby to wait for power to be restored.

Staff as always are brilliant. Room was clean and tidy but was not ‘refreshed’ despite us leaving a tag on the door. The price of the room was astronomic because of the rugby .. seem unfair to hike prices in match days . Also £59 for a bottle of rose and two jamesons made me wince …
