I stayed here with my husband and daughter and we had an excellent time! I booked a trip for my mom and grandma here as well on a separate occasion and they enjoyed it very much.

Staff does not accommodate any of your requests, restaurants have poor service. Will never ever stay here again. Asked for sea view and only got tree views lol.

This beach was illegally privatized, since in Mexico anyone is free to access any beach without having to be a hotel guest. As a guest, it wasn't good for me either, because the property boundary didn't allow me to walk the along the beach (as I usually do on vacation). I really Likes the food

Barcelo has easy access to rooms, with elevators and many options for food. Location is also easy to get to, and close to shops.

Pros: 4 Restaurants 1 buffet style, Many pools, Entertainment was fun,Many bars,Spacious rooms- big bathroom- big shower& bath tub,privacy door by toilet, 2 sinks,cleanliness of hotel, beautiful architecture, friendly staff,Spa,Gym,Babysitting for the kids,Shops Cons: Couldn't honor me same price when i needed another stay so i had to look for another hotel, room service came in after she was already in my room 2 hrs later woke me up from sleeping- big dislike, I couldn't reserve a restaurant due to my Teen not wearing dress code,he needed pants couldn't wear shorts. Its 90 feels like 100 degrees the days i was there-- sorry we don't pack pants in 100 degree weather,very dislike so we couldn't go in some restaurants *Highly recommended resort/ hotel

Hotel stay was nice and safe, food was of a 2 star hotel but still had a great time. Hotel workers were great, and the beach beautiful.

We enjoyed the variety of pools on the property. The easy access to the hotel's beach and the calm and relaxing ocean waves. It was great to snorkel and view the variety of fish in the ocean. The hotel's friendly staff was attentive to one's request throughout our stay.

The hotel itself is a real beauty, grounds are well kept and they are clean. Lots of pools for everyone, any age, bars were also good. Buffet restaurant(Bugambilias) is very good, and a la carte restaurants were also good.
