Was able to walk to downtown area in 20 mins

A bit pricey but that’s to be expected in the Monterey area…. Only n noticeable inconvenience was broken ice machine. Microwave looked like it was 20 years old but it still worked.

Some negatives but ultimately a great stay and location.The pool was closed, no vending machines, and part of the property was under construction. Also I could not get the heat to turn off in the room but it wasnt uncomfortable. The place is a little outdated but honestly the location, cleanliness of the rooms and staff made this a great stay.

I received quick service at check in. The grounds a nice & vintage looking. But the room had a smell that said it needs a thorough cleaning. And the bed was sunken in/needs a new mattress. But, I did save money staying there. So Thank you & Best Wishes.

The place is great for a 1-3 Night stay. Great location. The only issue I had was how hot the bathroom got when the fan was turned on. It felt like the heater was also being turned on .

Air conditioner does not work. Television didn’t work but the desk clerk came to my room and rebooted tv and it worked!

This place isn’t fancy, but it’s affordable and convenient.

I stay here every year for the car races in Monterey because it's affordable, convenient to Laguna Seca raceway and all the Monterey Peninsula, and you can park close to your motel room door. The negatives are the room walls are paper thin so you hear your adjoining neighbors talking, watching TV, and walking on the 2nd floor above. The steeply angled driveways were difficult to get my low sports car in and out of the property without scraping damage. They once had a morning self-serve breakfast in the lobby, but now it's just a coffee machine in the room with a defective switch I had to keep holding down, attached to an extension cord that kept tripping its circuit breaker, also causing the Direct TV to have to go through a 10-min recycle to turn on. The swimming pool was roped from use off with a posted sign "Do Not Swim in the pool if you have diarrhea" which was a new guest feature this year.

I liked the location

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The outside balcony was a nice bonus. There was no bolt lock on the door, just a switch lock which we are not used to not having one. The staff was OK not very friendly. They are only on the property until 10 PM and then after that there is no service. There was construction near our room, but it wasn’t noisy. It was not active so that we appreciated. There was some construction equipment around the property and the parking lot was kind of small, other than that it was a pretty good stay ! MAY 2025

Check in and check out were easy. The bed was not very comfortable. It was easy to see that there were dips in the mattress. It needs ti be replaced

Desk Staff always professional, courteous and helpful

It was a bed…. the sink fixture was super loose. Didn’t feel the shower looked was clean enough to shower in. Mattress has been well used and could be replaced. Pillows were fine.

Low cost no frills but excellent and close to everything
