Food was good, staff was helpful and friendly.

This property is not well maintained our first night was not a good experience we had to look for everything staff is not attentive rooms need a lot of maintenance our hot tub didn’t work and door latch was broken a/c leaked we had to lay towels so it wouldn’t be slippery also beds were old mattresses all ripped we will not me coming here ever again also restaurants were not good at all food was nasty and waiters were very rude

Family of 5-3 teenagers.June 29 -July 4.First impression-Felt outof place.If U are from the U.S/don't speak Spanish, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL.Employees were RUDE.If you spoke Spanish, you were fine.If you didn't, you were treated like a low class citizen.We paid$$$$ for a room with a terrace pool, ocean or lagoon view.We were put on 0 floor in the condo building NO VIEW unless you peaked thru the groves and saw the kiddie pool.If U wanted to go dinner anywhere but the buffet,U had to make reservations.Which is a joke.U must download the app,so if you don't have a smart phone your out of luck. Buffet was horrible My phone was having issues,the staff refused to book for us.Couldn't accommodate family of 5.The manager suggested(no joke)just make a reservation for 4.He wanted me to leave one of my family members out.We celebrated 2 birthdays.My daughter's birthday was amazing-Italian restaurant.Our waiter sang to her.Wonderful.2 days later we celebrated our son's birthday-Mexican restaurant & NOT acknowledged.They give you a flyer at the desk for you to figure the hotel on your own.If your hungry after 10pm,oh well. NO ROOM SERVICE but says they do on flyer.Flyer says that the buffet is open from 11pm-2am It's not.The water is not potable. They give 2 cheap plastic flasks so you can fill them with water. Down in the stairwell. No water bottles.Our room wasn't cleaned nor mini fridge stocked for 2 days.Theyallowed 5 drinks per day. I want a refund!!!!

Staff was amazing, but the resort was disappointing. Room smelled musty, A/C leaked when adjusted, and it was freezing cold. Pools lacked enough seating, and I got a rash. Common bathrooms were dirty and often flooded. Food was average, and reservations were hard to get. No hot water for a day, with no notice. Not a luxury stay—wouldn’t return.

We had a very disappointing experience at this resort. On the first morning, the lobby supervisor targeted my father-in-law—who doesn’t speak Spanish and has limited English—offering “50% off excursions” while repeatedly asking to see his credit card. We later realized they were trying to sign him up for a resort membership without clear explanation. When we declined, the staff became rude. On day three, a vent above our toilet leaked water and a black substance. Despite reporting it, no one came to check, and I ended up cleaning it myself. This showed a complete disregard for guest safety. We were also hit with hidden fees at check-in and were double-charged for excursions with no resolution. Dining was frustrating—we were told to book through an app that never had availability. Our "butler" was unhelpful and just referred us back to the app. We were constantly approached by staff trying to sell services, making the stay feel more like a sales pitch than a vacation. The only positive aspects were the kid pool, which kept our child entertained, and the beach area, which had good shade. However, the beach had a heavy seaweed buildup, making it unpleasant to enter the water. We’ve visited Cancun many times, but this was by far the worst experience. Management clearly doesn’t care, offering only copy-paste replies to negative feedback. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We stayed 12 days here and before we were approached to become members which we ended up signing up for , we had better service in the entire hotel specially in the buffet several days we requested drinks and never arrived or the waiter never came to serve us the drinks also i had to find my own high chair or my toddler had no where to sit . The family suit bathrooms smell like sewage and mold the entired 12 days we stayed also the other guest there were super loud children screaming late at night and early morning and the housekeepers will have loud conversations in the hall way early morning with the employees and other guest . The 3 restaurants there are average but the worse one was definitely the mexican restaurant nothing was good there. We ended up going to eat authentic mexican food somewhere else outside the resort overall for the 6k we spent for 12 days and the 4 hour presentation to get us to become members which we did was not worth it all that money at all at most 3k will not be returning here.

The beach was lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that we were not able to get a reservation at the restaurants.

Main door was not locking leaking in the shower

The property is very clean and at times there seems to be more employees on staff caring for the grounds and guests than guests. The wait staff in the restaurants are great. The food is ok, of course it could be better but it is not bad. Our room's a/c had a musty odor that was hard to get use to, but it is the tropics. The rooftop bar was a treat, the beach was wonderful. Shopping mall directly across the street a big plus. Our largest issue was by the time we figured the place out it was time to go home. This was our second time at the Park Royal Cancun and we will definitely keep it on our list for consideration.

Every thing is perfect

Great property location. Staff and management were amazing. Food was terrible to the point we ate off the resort more than we ate on the resort. Pools were very small and only stayed open until 8:00pm. The swim up bar was in the "family/kids pool" instead of the adult pool. There wasnt many pool loungers and guests had to be up by sunrise to save any seats for the day. Alcohol was watered down and only beer of choice was dos equis... (not good). Beds were hard as rocks. Bathrooms had mold in the shower and on the wall. Hot water did not work in our shower. Time share personelle are everywhere, relentlessly pushy and make it difficult to enjoy your vacation. Park Royal website states the hotel has laundry facilities and this is false. No microwave in room. Mini fridge doesnt keep drinks cold. I will not be returning to this resort and i would not recommend it to other travelers.

I love this hotel, customer service was great but the pools were so full all the time and not as clean and it was hard to get dinner reservations. They had plenty food options at buffet but I would’ve loved to try other places.

Overall service was horrible. Starting with their customer services to their food. The day of check out when the receptionist was cutting my bracelet he also cut my permanent bracelet , didn't even apologize With no care in the world. I been to cancun 13 times, this has been the worse hotel i stayed at, besides the location everything else is at least a negative 10. It was the 1st time i took some of my family members and it was not a good experience very disappointing

Great time! Stayed in the suite with terrance and there was a ton of room for us. Everything about the place was awesome from the food to the area. A nice little mall with tons of places to shop at as well as an aquarium. When it rained it would flood the room with water as the rain would seep through the patio doors, although I think that this was only a problem for our room the staff did come clean it up right away. Also the phone was not working for most the stay so we couldn't get much room service but other than I would totally stay again!
