Will be keeping this as constructive as possible. At best the property is 4 star. The room I booked was one bedroom pool view and I was put in a two bedroom ground floor room which overlooked the fence of the pool, NOT the pool. Cleanliness needs to be seriously looked into. The room was extremely dusty and I started sneezing within 10 minutes of entering the room. It was quiet evident that the room had not been deep cleaned for a long time. The plant in the kitchen had a thick layer of dust all over, some of the sofa cushions smelt like feet, bed side tables and kitchen island was sticky, washing machine smelt like mould. Worst of all, one of the toilets was not cleaned at all and had marks all around the edges and the bowl and that particular bathroom smelt bad throughout. There were cockroaches in the laundry, geckos in the living room and ants in the bed. These ants were very tiny and kept crawling around our heads and face through the night. “This is common in Far North Queensland” is not an excuse and regular pest control should be the norm. Main apartment door wouldn’t close on its own force, bathroom and kitchen lights flicker and make a static noise, and water pressure in the shower is too low. Bedroom was missing a TV remote and bad WiFi. Overall it was disappointing to have spent over $1500 for a Birthday getaway and receive an average product. The location is beautiful, good restaurants around and away from chaos. Staff were amazing, Gabby was a highlight.

great place to stay

The rooms are large and have everything you could possibly need, including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The property has multiple pools and plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a great little grocery store right next door.

Best location in Palm Cove with beach access- older resort with good facilities and well maintained. We had a 2 bedroom beachfront unit on level 2. Bedroom one had an ensuite and large bed. Bedroom 2 had twin beds pushed together and a family bathroom across the hall. More suitable for parents and children. Tip for next renovation- We prefer a modern walk in shower in ensuite, rather than shower over bath provided in both bathrooms. Stairs can be annoying- no lifts- but older guests seemed to be managing. Ask for ground floor if you have mobility issues. Staff thankfully carried our bags for us. We enjoyed the vibe of peak tourist season and Nu Nu restaurant and walking to a selection of restaurants shops markets etc in Palm Coves beachside strip. There’s a small supermarket and a bottle shop walking distance behind the resort- or get a delivery from Woolies. Palm Cove is the nicest presented waterfront village in the area and Alamanda reflects this in their own presentation and styling. We 4 adults enjoyed our stay. Watching the life of the waterfront was entertaining- weddings, photo shoots, yoga every day.

Lovely view from the balcony of the beach. Great to get help with the luggage given there was no lift. The negative is that there are no toilets near the pool. This was a real problem given that we were on the third floor and had a small child.

Loved the position of the hotel and the pool areas. Our room had a lovely outlook and was spacious but was a tad dated. Overall a great experience though and would definitely return.

Great location away from the crowds. However the property is way over priced for its accommodation and services. The apartment is spacious but dated.

Excellent location in Plam Cove and lots of space in each apartment. The washer and dryer were perfect. The towels were subpar and the toilet and amenities are not at a 5 star level. But, great location and space for all we wanted to do.

Our stay at Alamanda was truly relaxing and peaceful. The beachfront location provided stunning ocean views, and the tranquil atmosphere made it easy to unwind. The spacious, well-appointed suites and lush gardens added to the overall sense of serenity. A perfect place to rejuvenate!

Amazing Stay & experience There were couple of issues with accomodation, manager was so good he took action immediately. Definitely will stay here again.

Location and friendliness of reception staff

Huge apartment with complete kitchen facilities. Direct view of ocean from living room. Had two bathrooms but both had rain showers with low flow.

Our second time staying at Alamanda was amazing and i cant fault the staff and their welcoming nature. They go above and beyond for their clients and the small personal touches of a box of chocolates and a handwritten welcome note definitely make the best first impressions.

The good things about this property are the position and the service. The building is neat but needs to be updated.It is an excellent 70-style property. Old noicy ceiling fans. It needs a fresh makeover, not just paint. It is too expensive for what it is.

Beautiful location. Rooms were spacious, clean and recently renovated. 3 pools and a hot tub. Small issue was fixtures were not replaced with upgrade and short showers if 4 people wanted a warm shower.
