Nice staff, good breakfast, non-descript area, building badly maintained.

The perfect place to stay - perfect room, perfect large, hot shower, perfect food, perfect hospitality for a perfect price !!!!! Bellisimo - Bellisimo - Bellisimo !!!!! Sometimes bigger hotel can have kind of cold staff - the folks at Villa San Mauro are like the perfect family - they were awesome !!!!

Restaurant breakfast was nice. Good eggs, cereal, sweets, meats. The restaurant dinner was terrible.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Great food. They need to change the carpets. The overall appearance would be elevated if they did.

Beautiful hotel. The maintenance has not been done recently: the carpet right at the entrance could be in far better shape and probably should be replaced. The rooms are nice, but the mattresses are rather hard. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. All the staff are very friendly and attentive, doing their best to help the guests. I liked this hotel a lot and would definitely stay there again. I think it's better it is not in the town center, as those streets are small and narrow, it is instead a nice walk to the town's highlights.

Very nice hotel. In the outskirts of Caltagirone but only a few minute drive to the town center. Nice swimming pool, room with an outstanding view, very clean and an excellent breakfast with a great variety of everything. Including gluten free, vegan, organic. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice and the staff was super. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The only issues I had was that the air conditioning doesn’t work and when it does the front desk controls it. The other thing was that the pool was shut down because it was full of algie and not safe. Those were two of the advertised amenities that weren’t there when I was there.

We only stayed one night here before driving to Catania airport for our flight homr. The bedroom was comfortable with the best stocked bathroom throughout our stay in Sicily - bathrobes and slippers included. Nice touches of complimentary water and chocolates.

I stayed at this hotel during a January Sicily trip with my son. We have had great experience with NH hotels in the past. Our experience was probably not typical as it was low season and very few rooms were occupied. The staff was very professional. They gave us a nice room with a balcony that overlooked Caltagirone. In general, the hotel is a little run down with worn carpeting and balcony doors that don't shut tight. A second disadvantage is that two property owners right outside the hotel keep their dogs in pens outside and the dogs bark a lot. Fortunately, the evening was cold so the dogs retreated to their dog houses at a reasonable hour and let us get a good night's sleep. Finally, you must have a car, as the hotel is a good distance from the center of town. In general, this was a good, clean hotel, the price was right, and like other NH hotels were I have stayed, the breakfast was fantastic, with many options that kept a hungry teenager and his dad very satisfied.

We spent 3 days visiting caltagirone and the staff made our stay very comfortable. The room we booked was very spacious and they took care of details in a special way especially welcoming our son of 4,5 yo. Even if we were a bit late for breakfast, the staff was very king and helpful preparing for us without any problem and giving a special breakfast set to our son and adding few customized details. Thank you Alessia! The lady at the reception and the rest of the staff was very polite and kind.

The hotel is some distance from the old town, too far to walk, but there is car parking on the edge of the old town. The wifi was not working during our stay. Ensure you get a room with a view. Hotel restaurant is OK but nothing special.

This Hotel looked good, but was in need of some care, some of the taps in the bathroom were coming off the wall as well as holes. It was however clean and comfortable, with lots of hot water. The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant good. The hotel suffers from being in an industrial area with no other restaurants near by.

An old hotel in need of a good and extensive refurbishment.

The hotel was clean & modern. The bed was the most comfortable we had during our sojourn in Italy. The downside: it takes 20 minutes to get there from the airport. There's no hotel shuttle; you have to use the Airport Shuttle (it's the last stop, after a tour of the parking lots). However, once we got there, we were very pleased with the hotel itself.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Many fluent in English. Bathroom clean and overall room, though somewhat dated, was clean and bright. Our room had beautiful views of the nearby town and surrounding valley. Convenient on-site parking. Pool was being repaired. Would stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff was so helpful, it made our trip a joy. I can't thank the staff enough for all the extra help with linking us to family, the birthday party and restaurant recommendations. The location, the view from our room, and the service were perfect.

Low level of maintenance. I expect much more from an NH HOTEL
