It was great, the place was beautiful and very confortable, very spacious and clean. The dishwasher wasn’t working but we really didn’t need it, they offered to fix it during our stay but we declined it. The people at the front very friendly and helpful, the experience at the resort was great! Probably the only thing I can suggest improve is to have sitting in the same room the time share sales people, we were coming from other country and getting late and tired, they confused you a lot and in a moment you think all is part of the great service from the hotel, it was a bad experience where they made you go to 15 mins drive to cancel what you acepted the 1st day just because you got confused and didn’t want to be rude to say No, to buy a time share.

Property was old and not well kept. The pool closest to our room was not available to use and the lights in the pool that were went to didn’t work. The mattress in the pullout bed was stained all over.

Our unit was very comfortable, well equipped, and spacious. There were a few issues with our unit - one of the two AC units needed to be repaired, and the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The AC was fixed while we were there. Also, the toilet kept running intermittently. I fixed that by messing with the flapper. The grounds are well kept, and very tropical. If you are a pickle ball or tennis player there are courts near the room. The pickle ball play can get loud, but the property has a quiet time starting at 10:00 PM so play stops by then. The only restaurants within walking distance are at the Outrigger Hotel. They are very nice, but can be pricy. Kailua-Kona has many good places to eat within a 15 to 20 minute drive.

The accommodations were wonderful. The space is in the process of being renovated; however, the few cosmetic issues being addressed did not take away from the experience. The bedrooms, as well as upstairs living, dining and full kitchen exceeded our expectations. Everything was well stocked with linens, towels, cooking items and even things like a rice pot, blender, and small cooler. We would definitely recommend this property. There is a short walk from the parking structure and I would note that there are stairs that might pose a challenge for older guest with walking limitations. That being said, very roomy and great for families.

was on extended vacation and wanted to convenient location with easy access. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Great staff… friendly and customer focused…very professional

Nice resort - felt clean and comfortable. Some units are being updated and ours felt a little dated. Main issue that impacted our enjoyment was that our condo & balcony overlooked one of the designated smoking area benches. This limited our use of our balcony as we are non-smokers and didn’t want to passive smoke during breakfast - and our daughter is asthmatic. Was told by receptionist that we should have asked to be non smoking - but nothing about this was mentioned at check in. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. Multiple small swimming pools - the one we used was nice, but jets didn’t reliably work in hot tub and the water felt very hot indeed. Good location - especially if planning any boat tours which leave from just a little further down the road.

Stayed there in 2014. Still very nice staff friendly and courteous, Will be even better when the remodeling is completed.

We loved our stay at Holua resort. Although when we arrived the only thing we could say about the property in a negative way was the floors weren’t super clean. That’s not really a huge deal but for some people it could be. Now let’s talk about the positives. The staff was amazing. They were quick to respond when we needed new towels and stuff for the dish washer and washing machine. The grounds were fun to walk around and see the different types of trees and plants. It was nice to have the signs that pointed out what type of foliage they were. It was nice to be able to open up the blinds and be able to look out so many windows. One thing we didn’t realize was that the kitchen was up on the second floor, along with a half bathroom upstairs for those sleeping on the pullout couch. That was a bonus that we didn’t realize the unit had available. If we were pickle ballers, this would have been the place to play because there was always somebody playing. Being so close to a golf course and the harbor that does tours to see the manta rays is also an added bonus. We would def stay here again and hope to soon in the future.

The condo/suit we had was very spacious. Plenty of room for the 6 in our group. The lanai was amazing! Lots of pickle ball courts if you wanted to play. I would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the spaciousness inside the condo, amenities inside the condo was great, our view from the balcony was beautiful!! Staff at check in and check out were very kind! Assistance with all our things upon arrival was great! Downfall was there is no food options on site, our pool and jacuzzi were inaccessible for repairs, roaches outside our unit, rude man (owner) at pickelball courts.
