On my arrival I felt the receptionist was bother by me for asking for directions, she told me Do you have google? Yes, but as a new person I would like some input on the locals. The other staff after her, were very nice and happy to assist. The room was very small and worn out. No the best cleaning I found dust on some places. Breakfast wasn’t the best.

We got a room in the annex building. The room was dirty, I put my back pack on the top of the armoire and a cloud of dust came down, smelly and in bad need of maintenance. The bed is narrow with a mattress so soft that if you don’t sleep dead center, yo slip to the floor. Also a dangerous step to get into the bathroom, tripped a couple of times. Good points: nice view, good air conditioning.

I stayed as a solo traveller and it was perfect. I booked a small one bed room and it was just as I expected. Comfortable bed and everything I needed including a hairdryer, coffee machine and comfortable bed. Nice Italian next door as well. Staff were friendly and helpful and it is in a lovely area which felt very safe. Such excellent value.

The two receptionists were very helpful. One recommended a very nice restaurant, A. Van de Weers for mmore traditional Dutch cusine. We would return to the hotel in the future.

The hotel is well located near the downtown area and very close to restaurants, bars, bakeries and anything else that you may need in respect to food and drink. The desk personnel were extremely friendly and very helpful when we needed directions. Many attractions are within walking distance, 10-30 minutes. The coffee maker in the room was a welcome touch. The shower in the bathroom was strangely placed as it was basically open to the rest of the room and the entire floor got wet when using it. Personally, I found the bed to be very comfortable although my wife found it hard and said that it hurt her back. It was also placed almost directly on the floor so being 65 and 66 years old we found it a bit difficult getting in and out of it, especially myself as my side was up two steps and therefore lower to the ground than my wife's side. All in all, the hotel is in a great area and understanding that this is Europe, the rooms are small and sometimes strangely constructed. I would still recommend this hotel.

The view was spectacular! The beds were very comfortable. The location is close to excellent bistros and boutiques that we enjoyed. The front desk is awesome! They made us feel welcome, gave us great service and hospitality. They even held some luggage for us for 1 week while we visited Kenya, and when we came back in the early morning until check in. The daily breakfast is delicious and healthy. Definitely try the coffee! We stayed here twice and would do it again.

The staff at Hotel NES were very kind and helpful. We had a very nice short stay. The shower was very small and we made a bit of a mess with the water in the bathroom. There was not air conditioning in the room but they did have an oscillating fan and working window

From the moment I arrived, I knew this wasn't going to be the stay I expected. The photos on the booking platform don't accurately reflect how tired and dated the hotel is. I was travelling for work during one of the hottest days in Europe (35°C+). As soon as I walked into the hotel, I realised there was no air conditioning anywhere in the building. My room was unbearably hot, and although there was a fan, it made very little difference. There was bottled water, but no fridge to keep it cool. For around $180 per night, I wasn't expecting luxury, but I did expect a comfortable room where I could sleep. When I spoke to reception, I was told I "shouldn't have booked during the hottest day of the year" and that it would be cooler the next day. I understand the weather wasn't the hotel's fault, but the response lacked empathy and no solution or alternative was offered. The room became so hot that I genuinely felt unwell, so I checked out that same evening without staying the night and booked another hotel with air conditioning. The hotel can't control the weather, but it can manage guests' expectations. During periods of extreme heat, guests should be informed in advance—or at least at check-in—that there is no air conditioning, and rooms should be better prepared for these conditions. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.
