Lovely location, hotel is tired, needs a refresh, I stayed in hotels around the world and I would not rate this hotel as 4.5 stars, no restaurant, mix of people living there, room cold and generally the hotel is in need of a refurbish, could have stayed at the Hilton for the same price. Not worth the money to be honest

Great location, the rooms are tidy and clean but dated. Parking is expensive when you can park on the street for free after hours.

The view, and access to shops / restaurants was excellent. Room maintenance needs attention. TV not working, several ceiling lights not working. Only two coat hangers in the room wardrobe.

Customer service was terrible, waited 40 minutes at the reception with no staff around.

Lovely Hotel and location. Will stay again. Had two lengthy powercuts during stay and unsure of cause. Emailed manager after stay to confirm but no communication so far.

Faucet in kitchen was not working however brought us bottled water made it right

Good location close to the centre of Takapuna, and a short walk to the beach. Our room was pleasant, with views over the lake and ocean, but there were some unwanted curry smells around. The shower went crazy and soaked everything in the bathroom. Public areas need some major upgrades - wooden floors in the foyer were in poor repair and there was a lot of old wooden furniture in the bar that made it feel 1970;s - disappointing that the bar closed at 10pm on a Friday night. Wifi was terrible.

Our suite was very spacious and clean with lovely views of the lake and ocean. It was great to have a dishwasher and washing machine and dryer in our suite as we were staying for a few days. We were very happy with our stay.

Parking wasn't included. A bit disappointed in that
