Great place. Good breakfast. Only issue is lack of coffee / tee in the room

Always nice to stay in the beautiful hotel with stunning views over a lake.

Excellent overnight stay in lovely location by the side of the Hennesee. Chance for a short walk on the lakeside before dinner in the lovely restaurant. Staff friendly. And all spoke good english!

Typical of German service really, but we ordered drinks in the early afternoon which took amost 45 minutes to be brought to us. Then at the evening meal we were seated and our order wasn't taken again for 45 minutes. In the morning at breakfast the following day we were told to take a seat and someone would come over, nobody came at all, we had to get our own cutlery from the hosting point and we were not offered drinks. A real shame for a hotel with a lot to offer in a beautiful setting by the lake. The room was lovely and the concierge service at the front desk were excellent.

The hotel was very clean with great facilities and the staff were superb. in particular the breakfast buffet was amazing and our waitress Theresa really took the time to make us feel welcome! My son and I used the hotel as a base for Winterberg to go skiing and it was perfect.

I paid for this hotel as a gift for friends on their honeymoon. They said it was a great place with high quality food and silver service. They had a lovely stay and it was a perfect end to a wonderful day.

The big highlight of staying at this hotel is its location: the views from the restaurant terrace, Biergarten and our room too (no. 202) looked out over the densely-wooded hills and crystal-clear lake (the Hennesee). We swam in the lake every day (a one minute walk down a path from the Biergarten takes you to the shore) and the hotel was super-comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace or in the conservatory was excellent and the one night we ate in the Biergarten the food was excellent again. The local beer, Warsteiner is also delicious. Highly recommended.

WOW, What an amazing Hotel!! The Staff were super friendly, the grounds, room, dining areas and surrounds were spectacular. Apart from the exploding shoe horn, (Warning, they quite literally explode into sharp plastic shards) this hotel cannot be faulted.

A nice place to relax, walking around the lake is amazing. Breakfast buffet is plenty of choices.

Fijne sfeer vriendelijke mensen uitstekend restaurant

Schöne Landschaft. Ruhige Gegend. Guter Service. Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Haben für drei Personen gebucht aber im Zimmer waren nur zwei Decken/Kissen.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Leuke uitvalsbasis om het Sauerland te verkennen, echter geen airco op de kamer en het is allemaal wat gedateerd op de kamer. Het restaurant en ontbijt is goed. Op het buitenterras is er een mooi overzicht over het meer.

Wunderschöne Lage direkt an der Talsperre, Ortskern fussläufig erreichbar, für ein verlängertes Wochenende ein Träumchen!

Leider war der Hotelparkplatz kostenpflichtig

Fabelhafte Umgebung, beim Einchecken eine wundervolle total liebe Mitarbeitern (polnisch sprechend) , Essen super lecker, die ganze Anlage sehr sehr sauber. Das einzige was gefehlt hat war der Whirlpool der außer Betrieb war, das war Schade. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit bald wieder. Monika Wieczorek

Alles in allem sehr gut. Auch das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht zum See einfach Traumhaft. Sehr schöne Umgebung und das Hotel auch top. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder 👍
