The hotel is lovely and situated close to a local underground station which made travel around Vienna smooth and convenient. Ubers were most value for money when considering airport transfers from and to the hotel. There are also a Hofer (Aldi equiv) and Spar mini supermarkets very close to the hotel making it easy to pickup snacks and water on the go. The hotel is clean and welcoming and the rooms are elegant and of a good standard. The hotel breakfast is lovely especially for adults albeit they don’t have many options for children or allergen based eg dairy free milk/yogurt or more internationally inclusive eg beans. We did our best travelling with a toddler and enjoyed our stay and didn't let this mar our experience. Outside the hotel there are a couple of nice restaurants including a Mexican (Santos) which we enjoyed and it has a lively atmosphere. We also walked to Belvedere Palace as this is only a 10min walk from the hotel and worth seeing.

Lovely experience from the moment that I walked in the front door. I had checked out of a less than satisfactory hotel to find myself welcomed warmly in spite of my early arrival. Receptionist made it possible for me to check in early in spite of only booking for one night. Perfect location and vibe for my evening at Wiener Staats Oper! Fabulous breakfast, too, and every staff member was wonderful. Thank you so much for a delightful stay!

Room was spacious. Enjoyed the bath tub and good breakfast selection.

Hotel was clean and friendly but linens and bed were uncomfortable

Staff was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, although the heat did not seem to work quite as well as I would have liked.

Pluses: very convenient location - easy to walk to a lot of places and right by an underground station - two stops to Stephansplatz. Reception staff are helpful. Double glazing is good and keeps out the street noise. Minuses: tired room particularly that the bathroom door was water damaged and wouldn't shut. Noise from inside the hotel: the nearby lift pinging, walls quite thin so could hear the neighbouring room sometimes, Breakfast was in the basement and not really cheered up by the piped waltz music. The main issue was not enough staff to replenish items. Bread rolls were good, nice to have hard boiled eggs available. Smoked salmon lovely on the day it was there. Juice seemed to be from a packet and the fruit salad was bland. Also constantly running out of mugs for tea.

The employees

Great location! Close to the train station and major tourist attractions in the city. Breakfast buffet was full of fresh fruit and vegetables along with homemade eggs and fresh fruit. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. Would definitely recommend.

Overall positive stay. Room was nice and spacious and clean, good location right beside metro or walkable to inner city. My only issue was the room temperature, I was freezing and uncomfortable the whole time, even in sweatpants and two sweaters. There was no ability to change the room temperature. I voiced this to staff the first day and was given a small space heater. I appreciate the effort but this did not solve the problem as I can’t carry the space heater around the whole room all evening. I felt the heating on the baseboard heaters turn on the morning I checked out…would have been useful earlier. You shouldn’t be uncomfortable the entire time you’re in a hotel room you’ve paid good money for. I would highly recommend the hotel if it weren’t for this issue.

I paid for 2X double rooms, yet my daughter's room was considerably smaller than my own and was 4 floors away. Requested queen beds in both tooms, did not get them. Both rooms were twin, not double. Very disappointed. Amenities fine. Very poor breakfast. Full of sweet food (I am diabetic). No variety, scrambled eggs empty on at least 2 mornings and not filled while I was there. Only 1 coffee machine. No toast. Poor for vegetarians (which my company are). Ended up eating cheese roll every morning. Staff at breakfast not friendly. Other staff were.

Welcome service

Very comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff. A shame the bar wasn't a bit livelier. We never saw a single person in it.

Parking options are poor like everywhere else in Vienna. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

This hotel had the best air conditioning of any I stayed in in Europe for this trip. I also appreciated having beverage options in the fridge in case wanted. Thank you.
