The B&B was located in a slum, was rundown and looked unsafe. Saw rat. I did not dare leave my taxi. Did not go in

Staff were very friendly and helpful at check in/out, especially with getting a taxi to FCO even during a transportation strike. Gracie!

The room was small but a great location near the restaurants and bars for a reasonable price. Anna, the front desk couldn't have been any kinder.

Near hotel. Lovely staff. Room was a bit tired but that didn’t spoil our stay. Good showers. Pity no kettle in the room but staff on hand to make a hot drink in the recption. Great location close to bars and restaurants. Trastevere is a vibrant area with lots of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Only 30 mins from Ciampino airport. All the main tourist sights about 30 mins walk away. Roof top bar was still open for eveing meals and drinks but too cold for us in October

Really well priced hotel in a fantastic location in Rome. Rooms are basic but tidy and clean. The rooftop bar is a real gem if visiting in the summer months and the location is definitely the best part about this hotel. It’s walking distance or a short tram/bus ride away from everything whilst not being in a super touristy location. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is fantastic. Walkable to all the main sights but far enough to get out of the craziness. The room was worn, but clean and perfect for our needs. The staff were lovely and provided us recommendations for dinner. There is a rooftop bar with a beautiful view and a drink and snack menu. We would stay again

A great place to stay! The staff were really nice to deal with, the rooftop bar is stunning and the rooms were very clean. The area is close to major tram and bus routes making it extremely accessible to the centre of Rome and the Colosseum. There’s lots of great restaurants and cafes near by, would really recommend staying here.

Excellent hotel in great location in Trastevere. The front desk staff were always helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar not only has a spectacular view, but delicious cocktails as well. Everything you want to visit in Trastevere is walking distance from this hotel.

Just back from four days at the San Francesco. It's a perfect base from which to explore Rome. We found that most of the big tourist 'must sees' were within about half an hour's walking time from the hotel, but there's also a tram stop and bus options if that's a little too far. The welcome we got was exceptional, warm, friendly and in perfect English and the staff very generously listened to our poor attempts at Italian without laughing. The room was small but comfortable and clean, pretty much what I was expecting for a reasonably priced city hotel, with a nice sized bathroom. We could have done with tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but considering the hotel is surrounded by cafes and bars this wasn't really an issue. The area feels safe, there's a bit of street noise but you really have to accept that is part of city life. Trastevere is a bustling area full of dining and drinking options, and a good place to escape to after an afternoon being pushed out of the way by flag waving tour guides in the city centre. It's quite possibly the friendliest hotel that we have stayed at in recent years, everyone on the staff was helpful, kind and courteous, traits that are sadly becoming less common these days. Stay here, you won't regret it.

We like one guy at front desk , always seemed to care. Everyone else acted like we was a burden staying there. We ask for a couple cups or plates for food we buy from streets and they dont want to give it to you. I ask for cup of ice from bar, you want you charge me 3ero insane. We was there for my wife’s birthday and the day of you ask us to change rooms because of a scheduling issues on your part. I went ahead and worked with you , we packed everything up and moved rooms. Leave to go out then you lock us out with key saying we checked out. The ac sucked and the bed was supposed to be king and it was two hard twins that split apart as we slept together . We wasn’t asking to be catered too , we just thought we could have a comfortable stay and normal cups , not tea cups or attitude.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The hotel was in a great spot just by a bus stop and it made it very easy to get to the main places in Rome. The hotel was very clean and the staff were lovely. Only downside is you can hear the vacuum cleaners going in the morning and the walls aren’t really sound proof.

Staff is great and friendly. We arrived at noon with the intention of leaving luggage stored but receptionist asked to wait for 15 minutes and assigned the room. Thank you SFH for that flexibilty well appreciated after long fly. Cleanliness is absolute. Carrefour is about 80 mts away. The terrace bar is marvelous to get a wine and snacks or a dinner. All Trastevere is a walking distance. All Rome yours by walking. Thank you SFH !!!
