Fair price for the room. Good breakfast options.

When I arrived with my elderly uncle, I noticed there were strange people living there. Drug addicts, mentally disturbed and a kid wondering around with a trash can. Next morning, we went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast. The food didn’t look edible. The orange juice pitcher looked dirty and the sausage looked under cooked. The granola and the pastries were old. We later went across the street to Wawa. When we return, there were three police cars in the front of the hotel. Who were responding to a call for a strange man I saw earlier in the lobby. Later that night the same man was screaming and banging on doors naked and bloody. The police came and arrested him. I clearly heard the policeman arresting this disturbed individual. In the morning my uncle and I walked towards the elevator. There were heavy blood stains on the walls and on the carpet. Even the surveillance camera by the elevator had blood on it. I never leave reviews but I was so scared for my uncle and I, that I wanted to warn future visitors not to book at this property. They need to cater only to the unfortunate and leave out us visitors for our safety.

The hotel did not provide room service. No one made the bed, replace my dirty linen or towels, or emptied my trash during my entire stay.

The carpet in the room had a smell needed carpet powder and staff wasnt really friendly

There were dead roaches in the bathroom, the main door had a large gap on the bottom, there was weird perhaps drug deals going on in the parking lot, the room was crazy expensive and no exceptional amenities matching the price I paid

Dirty. Smelly. Rude! My room smelled like cat urine. The tile in the bathroom was mildewed. I asked for a late check out when I arrived. It was granted. The next day the manager was rude and a smart aleck about it. “If you had late checkout, why isn’t it the computer?” Like I should know.

Nice place for the price. Breakfast, rooms clean. The location ius near many reseruants, shops, a cannabis store. I come for work so I will defiantly stay again.

All linens and bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Property older and shows signs of wear. Some wall issues not repaired professionally.

4/5 I feel is fair. Staff was nice and helpful, but you get what you pay for. Some areas were unclean, such as a stain or two on the chair and foot rest. But other areas were clean such as the bed, fridge, and bathroom. No bugs or pests noticed and convenient area with lots to eat. Second time staying here and haven’t run into any major complications that make me want to stay somewhere else.

This was my 2nd visit to the Red Horse Inn. I stayed 50 years ago with my Hood College girlfriend for a night of carnal pleasure. 50 years later the Red Horse is showing some signs of wear (as is my wife) but they both exceeded my expectations. The iconic red horse still stands proudly on the roof, a real Frederick landmark. And while i must restrain myself a bit with my geriatric wife, i may have slipped into 'beast mode' and become a bit of a untamed stallion during our frenzied lovemaking. Thank you Red Horse!

First night a small roach scurried across the bathroom floor. Second night our keys didnt work and then our hot water didnt work. I could not shower , front desk tried to say the water was fine and sometimes itakes awhile

It was a decent hotel, the halls smelled like cannabis, which is funny because they talk about a smoking charge if they think you smoke in your room. The continental breakfast was actually pretty solid. No real complaints except the price of an OK hotel nowadays, but nothing we can do about that.

Staff members are very nice but the hotel is very old and not updated at all. Not well maintained neither.

While I appreciate the breakfast, it is cumbersome to access. A flight of stairs is involved, which is bad for limited mobility people like myself.

Good shower. However, the stopper in the sink is bad. You have to pick at it with your fingers to drain the sink. Other than that, great room.
