Very friendly staff that was attentive to all my needs and preferences, and made sure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. I will gladly stay here again on my next visit. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and very true to how it was advertised on the site. The location is great and perfectly tucked away from the busy scene of the historic center, but also in walking distance to all the attractions. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel

I stayed in Florence for the first time this past May at Room Mate Luca for 8 days and it was a nice hotel. Conveniently located close to the city center, clean, good breakfast, room service every day and reasonably priced. They also had A/C in the rooms and staff on site 24/7. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the Duomo and within walking distance of other attractions. The room was clean and the hotel generally well-kept, with a lovely scent in reception! The staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

Our experience was musty, dusty, and dark. I had trouble seeing in the dimly lit hallways. The room was so dusty that my daughter had allergic reactions and did not sleep. The bed and pillow were also very very uncomfortable. The first night's stay was so bad that we checked out and booked another hotel. Room Mate Luca would not refund us, but they gave us some delicious cookies on our way out which to be honest did not make up for the $850 loss.

Fantastic stay- minutes away from the Duomo and train station. What sets them apart is the service that the front desk - Chiara, Eleanora and Alan from the buffet. Chiara really went above and beyond by giving me tips on how to get to my next destination in Cinque Terre.

Dark lighting in room hallways and in rooms makes it a little challenging to see fully at times. However, the property and stay was superb.

Great location to restaurants and many attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Agusto checked us in and gave us some amazing local recommendations. I have a very sensitive nose, and the hotel smelled absolutely incredible, which made a great first impression. We were so pleased with our room. After hopping around Italy, this stay felt like the perfect mix of convenience and affordable luxury. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting. The only small downside was that the blackout curtains didn’t fully block out the light, but everything else was truly fantastic.

PRO’s The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The Breakfast was good. The room was modern and clean. The area was close to a lot of tours and shops we were interested in going to . CON’s As soon as we checked into the hotel we had to wait for our room, which was not an issue b/c we arrived early. We did ask the front desk if we could eat b/c according to the Expedia reservation , breakfast was free daily. I thought is was a bit tacky that someone just comes up to you during the time you are placing food on your plate to ask your room number in a very small area compared to larger hotels i have traveled to. The first day a gentleman come up to us twice to ask us our room number and we explained to him that the we check in and the front desk says we are allowed breakfast b/c its free daily . There was a lot of back and forth that i did not appreciate. The transaction starts when they take my money , which should allow us the free breakfast. Also the toilet in the room was broke and door was broke and it not close without having to slam it shut, which made a close by neighbor upset .

The location was very convenient to the Duomo, shopping, dining and surrounding areas. It was not crowded or congested. The staff was attentive and helpful. I thought is was great value!

Elevator was out of service the entire time of our stay and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs everytime going and coming. We were told after checking in that it was not working and informed it would be fixed the following morning. Ot was not and I believe they knew it. Also the lighting on the floors is really dark and a safety concern. The location is on a main road and about 10 minute walk to a decent restaurant. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel. They do serve breakfast and the staff was friendly though. I would not recommend this hotel
