Whar a beautiful hotel. Everything is very grand and elegant. Spacious room, great dining room experience for dinner and an outstanding spread for breakfast. Short walk to the beach. Definitely would stay again.

Breakfast was very good, a big variety

Room ok, but... the FRIDGE was NOT WORKING and had a very bad smell in inside!!! I had my my medications to keep cool in there and realised only on the third day that all was not right! Also, the windows - the hotel being very old - would not open/close easily. The outside green shutters totaly rusty and hard to open. Staff ok, although following my request for extra pillows&douvet - there were none in the wardrobe like in ALL the hotels I have ever stayed! - a member of staff entered my room while the "do not disturb" sign was on and just THREW the items on my unmade bed, in a very uncerimonious way, it seemed to me, and I found them on my return from my breakfast. The correct way I would have expected from such a 4☆ hotel, would have been to place them tidely on the table, perhaps, or the chair or the wardrobe!? Not just chucked on the unmade bed! Seemed to me a rather SHODDY way of doing things! Breakfast: totally marvellous! Bar, not used.

The hotel and rooms were spectacular, nicer than some of the much more expensive hotels we’ve stayed in throughout Europe. However, the food was subpar at best. I suggest enjoying the breakfast buffet as it’s convenient and satisfactory but nothing else. The other complaint is the noise when you are sitting out at the beautiful pool. Constant traffic and overwhelming dog barking, and I’m a huge dog fan, but it’s really disruptive, making it very hard to relax.

The public areas and rooms are fantastic and the staff very welcoming. The pool area could do with an update, but perhaps this is next as our room was freshly decorated with a lovely new bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perhaps the best ever scrambled eggs from a buffet. Dinner was fine, but not nearly as good as breakfast. Lovely pre dinner drinks in the cocktail bar with a nice selection of canapés. If you enjoy old world style, you will enjoy staying here.

Beautiful location and hotel. Clientele is elderly. Would recommend for older crowd. Younger people may want to consider something else.

The staff are wonderful, food was great, grounds are beautiful and clean. The hotel is located in the center of shopping and beach. We had fun renting bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a last minute one night booking...the hotel front desk staff very nice, helpful, the only thing we arrived late and parking was full. The front desk lady who checked us in ( forgot her name) offer her parking spot if we couldn't find street parking. We did find parking behind the hotel. This was very thoughtful of her. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to chose from...wish we could hv enjoyed more of this beautiful hotel.

This stylish olde worlde charm property was in a prominent position in viareggio. It retains its charm but has excellent facilities. The staff are all amazing and we were always greeted with a bonjourno by the reception staff. We would love to visit again

Second time staying at this beautiful property. What a treat to stay at this perfectly preserved beachside resort. So elegant! Front desk told us it’s all original to the early 1900’s and it’s wonderful. Breakfast buffet is superb. Dinner menu changes every night and we enjoyed dining in 2 of our 3 nights there as the menu, service, and food is better than anything across the street at the beach. Lunch by the pool is no exception to the fabulous food and service. The hotel, and area in general, had a Studio Ghibli vibe - antique and old world infused with modern amenities. We pulled up “Kiki’s Delivery Service” on Netflix and snuggled together watching it our first night. If you know, you know. If you don’t, watch the charming movie!

Wonderful hotel whose polite and efficient staff could not do enough to ensure an excellent stay. Perfect beach location and lovely pool on site. Super breakfast and great cocktails.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Garden and pool are lovely. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Location near the beach and boardwalk was perfect! Highly recommend staying here.

Loved everything about it - It was beautiful - great breakfast spread and the location was great right in front of the beach - The only downside was the weather - the 2 days we were there it rained constantly

Need to make the elevator less scary.... I did not use it after the first time , I was on the 5th floor and the elevator dropped 10-12 inches at the top. Decided to use all 124 stairs instead.

This hotel is AMAZING! Beautiful building in a prominent position looking out to the beach with gated parking; it has a grand presence both inside & out. Lots of options for rooms with a sea view, some with a balcony. Helpful staff (we saw a lot of Alfredo on the main desk & he was brilliant!), everything was clean & the food fantastic. Breakfast was a large buffet catering for different dietary requirements plus a la carte options if preferred. There was a separate bar serving cocktails; & a further dining room where we were well looked after for evening meals. Out back is a garden & pool open during high season. Everything is reasonably priced & no hidden extras. We'll be going back!

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely staff. Great food. Fantastic pool and pool bar. Location is great. Shops and restaurants opposite hotel. Bicycles for hire. Near train station.

Beautiful building. Great front desk staff who spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Restaurant staff also efficient. Our room was spacious and house keeping always kept room immaculately clean. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a fabulous stay in Viareggio.
