Room was clean, beds/pillows excellent. Breakfast was better than most. Would recommend this hotel.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Sadly we have kids and family in Athabasca that don't have room for us to stay so we will need a hotel in Athabasca again. They are the only hotel with a pool. So my kids will never get to have a hotel pool when we visit here, because I would under no circumstances ever consider this hotel again

Breakfast was great, all aspects of the hotel was very clean, I certainly enjoyed the Hot Tub. I booked a room through the hotel reservations. The staff member that answered the phone spoke very softly and I have some hearing loss at age 76. I kept telling the person that I couldn't hear them and what I could hear I couldn't understand. I detected a accent, but wasn't sure. The more I spoke the worse the communication got and the person took offence and thought I was "profiling" them. I couldn't get any satisfaction and the person started to mock me, by repeating everything I said. I ended up cancelling the reservation, then called back to reinstate my reservation, that person suddenly was speaking clearly and refused to take my reservation, stating that Super 8 doesn't need people like me in their hotel. I then booked through Expedia with no problems. The day I checked in the person at the desk spoke very softly. My daughter was with me and she is a healthy 50 year with no hearing loss. We managed to get checked in and had to ask the desk clerk to repeat his instructions numerous times. On the initial reservation I asked about the hot tub and he told me there were only 2 rooms with hot tubs and they would cost $50 more a day. I questioned that they shouldn't advertise the hot tub if it is only specific to certain rooms. So imagine my surprise to find a HOT TUB by the pool?

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was good. Back door to parking lot didn't lock.

Hubby wasn't thrilled with the breakfast, bacon very greasy, sausages didn't look cooked enough. Otherwise our stay was very good.

I chose this hotel because options in town are extremely limited. Unfortunately, I have never been treated this way as a paying customer. When I arrived to check in, I was told there were two reservations under my name through Expedia. I clarified that I only had one reservation and one confirmation number. The manager advised me I would be charged a no-show fee for the second booking and that I would need to resolve it with Expedia. I contacted Expedia the next day. They requested the booking details the hotel had on file and confirmation of the no-show fee, advising they would contact the hotel to resolve the issue. When I asked the front desk for this information, they could not provide it. After several days, I returned to the front desk Thursday evening to follow up. The manager again said he could not help, despite Expedia advising they had attempted to contact the hotel multiple times. Instead of resolving the issue, the manager told me to leave the hotel and said he would call the police if I did not. While I was in the lobby contacting Expedia to resolve the matter, the RCMP arrived and I was advised I had to leave because it was private property. The hotel charged me for my full stay, a no-show fee, and I was forced to find another hotel and pay for an additional night. I was staying for two weeks and had already booked an additional week. This situation was handled extremely poorly. I will never stay here again and strongly recommend others reconsider booking

Breakfast was good very filling a decent variety of options room was decent and clean even though the tub didnt drain well. Be prepared for them to hold onto your security deposit for over a week. Staff was great for check in an check out but any inquires made to try and figure out when the security deposit will be released is met with zero help.

The gym equipment didn't work. Same breakfast every day. Not good for longer-term stays. The front desk was not helpful.

Clean non smoking room, but could still smell cigarette smoke. Changing a floor to non smoking does not get rid of the smell, no matter what you do to clean. Hot tub was out of order 😡

The water slide has lights . That in itself deserves 5 stars

Hotel staff were very nice. Pool was big amd waterslide was nice. Hottub was a great amenity as well. Rroms were clean and fresh with lots of extra pillows! Perfect for our stay while in town.
