My family had to undergo emergency surgery one day before the trip and we had to cancel. I did cancel on time before the refund deadline but Expedia claims in only cancelled the insurance and not the booking, which makes no sense. I contacted the hotel and explained the situation, and their response was basically they did not care and still charged me. Beware of business practices where they adhere to so called policy and forget about being human.

Overall, negative experience. The one big caveat is that if they can yank more money out of you, for any reason, they'll try to do it. The receptionist who checked me in noticed in my passport that I've been in Colombia a few times this year and told me I had to pay some sort of tax/fine for a reason that didn't quite make sense. Whether the reason was valid, it seems like it was not in their scope of duties. No other hotels since my stay in country has ever even mentioned this, much less said it was improper. On checkout, more taxes. Lots of other good options to come back to a hotel that focuses on wrenching more money out of you before you even checked in.

The rooms are very spacious, very clean, with all what is required for a stay. Staff is very nice and helpful. The food could improve, however, taking into account Bogota's offer.

Firstly, I was wrongly charged a tourist tax that, according to current regulations, should not have been applied. I thoroughly checked the rules, and my friends staying at nearby hotels were not asked to pay this tax either. This means the hotel staff collected a fee illegally. Unfortunately, it was impossible to address this issue because the staff did not speak English. In general, the hotel experience was disappointing due to the staff's lack of basic English skills. The restaurant staff were just as unprepared — it felt like I was the first English-speaking guest they had ever encountered. They couldn’t even understand or respond to simple orders like “coffee,” and insisted on speaking only Spanish. For a hotel that receives international guests, it would be highly beneficial if the staff learned at least basic English. It’s part of providing decent service to paying guests.

Wanted to stay in the norther most point of Zona G in Bogota. Hotel stay was excellent. Location was excellent. Hotel was located over a more trafficked road had higher levels of ambient noise due to this.
