Clean and lovely! Planning to return.

Pros were Cleanliness, staff, location, beach, quiet room and bed in the north tower. Cons, buffet food no hot, bands loud in afternoons at the beach area, drinks not great, wish I would have NOT done the all inclusive.

The staff was absolutely amazing. Food at the buffet was ok, the ala carts were better but the reservation process was frustrating. Pool bar wasn’t open as advertised. Lounge chairs were far and few between, also very uncomfortable. No sound proofing, hallways were very echoey and loud. We were on our honeymoon (which they were aware of) and we were put on a floor with loud young families and young party people. Nightly entertainment was very disappointing. Birds everywhere in the buffet and pools. We will not stay there again or recommend it to anyone

Staff is incredible, great location, great beach!

This 80 year old hotel is in a great area my room faced the ocean and the beautiful waves crashing like a lulaby at night. The room was clean and comfortable a bit musty smelling becausec of the dampness but that went away with the patio doors open and sunlight in the room. I loved the 9 pools the lovely plantings the excellent staff the aquafit and the complementary breakfast buffet. Right on the beautiful beach . Great for families and holidayers

We enjoyed the design of Playa Mazatlan – – the low rise building, the cabanas at the beach, staff are very friendly and a great location with ocean view room. We enjoyed the breakfast of a large buffet selection of healthy, typical Mexican food.

First I would like to say that Luis, our waiter in a few different venues was so incredibly sweet and welcoming and made you feel at home anywhere he was working. What a fantastic guy! Carmen, the lady who cleaned our room was so nice, she gave us a little hug goodbye on our last day. Overall, the staff was very friendly - but there were definitely people that stood out and went out of their way to take care of you. The beach at the hotel was awesome. The water was very inviting!!! While I expected there to be people selling items on the beach, the Bandas were unexpected, and while not to our taste, the problem was how LOUD they played when they would stop. For food, definitely find Casa Roberto, it was a very pleasant dining experience, and make reservations for the Italian and Brazilian Swords nights. We also liked the cafe above the pool in the morning for coffee and pastries. Overall, we had a very nice time.

Room was good. Staff was good. Noise level in the room and On the beach was horrible! Constant terrible bands. Food at every place on the property was pretty bad. Beautiful beach but not enjoyable due to the noise! Our room was right over the veranda so lights come on at 3:30 am loud noise as they clean and prepare for the day. Even with the door closed the bands were loud!

This place was great! The staff was super friendly, and everything you need is inside the hotel—different types of restaurants, a bar, pool tables, and lots of pools. Definitely staying here again!
