The hotel was exceptional in every way. The property is beautiful the rooms are pretty, are clean and very well appointed. The view of the chateau is absolutely spectacular. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend anyone staying in this part of France to stay at this incredibly gorgeous resort.

Excellent setting

Beautiful property with an outstanding restaurant. Service was fine, but at times, it lacked the details you’d expect from a 5 star hotel., such as taking your luggage to the room or replenishing toiletries daily. The hotel is in the outbuildings of the chateau next to it and it can be difficult to locate initially. The main access is through the golf course area which isn’t very impressive. I would return to this hotel and recommend it to friends.

Location and facilities were excellent Food was exceptional

Just turning in from the road to the hotel gives you a thrill with the view of the chateau beside the lake. The gardens and the golf course give a good opportunity to stretch your legs after a long drive. The open air pool is within these wonderful gardens. The rooms are fine, most have a lake view. The service was exceptional. The food was well up to the standards of French cuisine. The hotel is not near any sizable town.

The setting and buildings are stunning! The breakfast was excellent. However, on the downside there was mold around the tub. Not acceptable for a hotel of this price. The worst was the fact that they do not accommodate the guests for meals other than breakfast. We were there 2 night and were told both days that the restaurant was "fully booked" both nights. They have another smaller restaurant and they told us they were only offering less than 1/2 the menu. All they were offering was something we didn't eat. It is not as if we could run across the street to another restaurant since they are in a pretty remote location.

The Hotel & Spa de la Bretesche is an wonderful place of calm in the countryside of Bretagne. The setting is beautiful, encompassing a lake, a golf course, forest, a pool, a tennis court, and a chateau. There are bicycles available, and well marked trails to follow to enjoy nature. The hotel pays attention to every detail, beginning with being personally escorted to your room and given an overview of all of the surroundings. Our room was spacious, yet cozy, with turn down service and warm biscuits delivered every night. There are also cottages. The spa included an indoor pool big enough to actually swim, and a sauna. We used the location as a base to explore the region, but it is such a lovely place it needn't be supplemented with anything else to make it a wonderful destination.

As Domaine de la Bretesche is part of the R&C group we expected a high standard in every aspect, and we were certainly not be disappointed. The food is outstanding, but then the fact that the chef holds a Michelin star tells you that. The rooms are spacious,well equipped and very comfortable and the facilities are superb, in particular the outside pool. All this is to be expected from a R&C property but what set this one apart, in our experience, were the staff. Everyone, from the Director (who personally meets the guests at some point in their stay) the chef and managers, to the room stewards, waiting staff and gardeners, was friendly and engaging at all times. In fact, we never saw an unhappy looking member of staff. Thank you all for making our long weekend one of the most relaxing breaks we can remember for a very long time.

All a bit show with no substance. Small room with shower over bath very expensive restaurant that didn't deliver on the hype. Promised so much more

Everything was fabulous. The hotel, the grounds, the food, the staff - it was all faultless.

It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The service was outstandingly good and the facilities excellent. We enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant and will definitely go back--hopefully to play golf on the superb golf course.

The Hotel and Spa is situated in the most beautiful setting with views of the magnificent Chateau and Lake. We had a charming welcome and the Reception staff were pleasant. Our room was tiny but it was reasonably priced. The fine dining was superb. The "Club" restaurant and bar was understaffed and although they worked very hard it was somewhat chaotic. Emply glasses on trays littered the bar and the service became ineffective.

Schloss erleben! Ein wunderbar zum Hotel umgebautes Wirtschaftsgebäude beherbergen eine Bar im Pferdestall, einen Golfplatz , 2 Restaurants und einen In- & Outdoorool. Alles sehr schön und Creative eingerichtet. Man zollt der Geschichte Respekt. Auch wenn die letzte Renovierung doch ein paar Jahre her ist - alles sauber und nur wenig abgenutzt.

Le cadre est exceptionnel tout comme la qualité de service du personnel. Il est rare de trouver des gens si dévoués au bien-être de leurs clients. À recommander fortement!

Nous avons été surpris de l’absence de tout personnel à la réception pendant 10 minutes au retour du restaurant à 21 heures. Nous avons téléphoné comme il était indiqué sur le comptoir mais le téléphone a sonné dans le vide pendant au moins 2 ou 3 minutes, nous attendions notre clé.

El lugar esta precioso. Desafortunadamente falta atención al cliente. Olvidaron mandar la clave para abrir la pluma de acceso y no avisaron que para poder cenar en el hotel hay que hacer reservacion con anticipacion. No hay otro restaurante cerca.

Endroit idilique et calme. Les chambres sont confortables et agréables avec de belles prestations. Le restaurant gastro est un régal mais la brasserie également. Bref, très beau séjour à renouveler. Point négatif: la piscine est fréquentée par les enfants des résidants pas toujours présents ou attentifs aux cris et comportements de leurs enfants qui se regroupent en bande pou jouer ; on a vite l'impression d'être à la piscine municipale avec les enfants qui nous arrosent jusque sur nos transats et poussent des "hurlements" à n'en plus finir ... dommage car la piscine devrait être également un lieu de détente pour tous ... !

Goede service, lekker eten, fijn verwarmd buitenzewembad. Helaas problemen met het riool.
