Great stay, the room had everything we needed. We made use of the spa too, it was only small but for £10pp it was great value

Felt the room photos were very generous…room was not like the picture. From sitting in the bath I could see the toilet was filthy under the rim. General bathroom cleanliness wasn’t great.

Watch out. They rip you off for £10 to use the tiny pool!

From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. You pay £10 for use of the facilities. Well worth it. Loved the heated beds. Plenty treatments on offer too. Take £1 coin for the lockers. Hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very central for touring the area. Preston 30 mins by bus (no's 40&41) where you can catch a bus or train to many places. Not far from Blackpool, Liverpool, the Lakes, the Dales. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return if in the area.

Good hotel !! Didn’t eat there so can’t comment !! Room perfectly serviceable but bathtub was far too small for anyone other than the smallest possible human being !!

Lovely hotel and extremely clean. We were in the club house room which is in a separate building from the main hotel. The room was very clean and modern. My only complaint was there were 2 small bottles of water put out for us like most hotels do but they were half full and the seals were broken so were not new. Also they provide fresh milk in a fridge in the reception area which is really nice but the one I had which was well in date was sour so I think the fridge was not cold enough. Also the ice machine was not working. I did mention this to the reception and it was all rectified immediately. Also the hand wash and shower gel bottles in our room were empty but I brought my own so that was fine. I would suggest that housekeeping do a more thorough check on these things in the future as it is little things like this that can let a lovely hotel like this down. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious and excellent staff. Although we had a few small problems we would definitely stay here again as the standard is very high.

The new part of the hotel is spectacular. Room was luxurious. Staff are friendly and responsive. Please note - not only is access to the pool/ sauna etc additional cost, you have to book a time slot. It is also at the other end of the hotel if you have mobility restrictions.

The Reception Staff were excellent and friendly. The Room was spotless and loved the drinks facilities, especially fresh milk but an Ice Bucket could have been provided for the Ice. The Spa is excellent but should be included in the price, instead of having to pay an extra £10. The room was slightly noisy, either traffic or a generator. The 'help yourself' breakfast was plentiful but looked like it had been sitting in the keep warm trays for some time and in fact the food was tepid cold.
